Let us have the Alfiq merchant and banker as permanent pets?

As in why not they are not more in the way than other small pets like the Raz senche cub and you need to be in group to activate them anyway.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I'd like some different alfiq as non-combat buddies (pets). A solid black one would be nice.

There is nothing that stops you from having either of them constantly in tow for everything you do, even in addition to another pet if you so desire, and they can both be placed in your house. Exactly what are you missing?

Well, every time you zone you have to re-summon.... Permanence would certainly be nice.

    This.
Note that service NPC replaces non combat pet.

They're automatically unsummoned every time you go through a wayshrine to a different zone.

I too always have wished they could be summoned permanently, like any other pet.

Yeah, go on, tell any Alfiq he is a pet. A word of advice, think about protecting your throat and eyes beforehand.

Ok so this is for tank build only.
This one is geared for that.

In addition to being unsummoned when you zone, they also replace your non-combat pet when they are out.

yes game vise they are pets same with the human merchant and banker or the Khajiit fence.
And dispelling the last 3 makes sense, they are large and can be annoying in group dungeons for healers and tanks.

No, I sometimes use nameplates to spot Guild Traders and things more easily and this along with always being presented with the E or interaction button in a group setting is so annoying when you're trying to use Synergies or speak to Quest givers. I get especially irate when people leave their Merch/Banks up during a fight.

No, no thank you. These bigger pets, Fat Bears and flappy summons are bad enough.

They should not show up unless in group.
I tend to keep one up if some need to stop to clear inventory in dungeons.

I propose to keep the same de-spawn system - but just add a merchant; banker; bear; and matriarch to every crafting station.

Wrong, merchants and bankers affect the gameplay of the people you are grouped with if they are using a controller...the interact button is one also needed for combat, it can and will mess with their performance....I hate it when people drag them around in dungeons.

The only issue I have with merchants/bankers is when people leave them out in dungeons. Please. Pleeeease. I beg you.... dismiss your assistants before returning to combat. I don't want to speak to your merchant while Im surrounded by a mob, not exactly in the selling mood at that exact moment...

I think the lack of permanence is intentional though. However, you can quick-slot them to make things easier, in case you didn't know.

"Game wise" they're not pets. They're personal merchants. Non-Combat Pets serve absolutely no purpose other than to follow you around and make noise.

Yeah, having them out all the time because they're (very!) cute sounds great until you consider the logistics. I play on PS4, where (x) is used to talk to Ezabi, open barrels, jump, dodge roll and call your mom. I have to put Ezabi or Fezez away even when I'm running around all by myself so I don't end up butt dialing them all the time. Quick-slotting them is the best solution.

Indeed. The console limitations are one of the main reasons why PC players cannot have many nice things.

Just quick slot them takes one button press after you go to another zone if you want them out again right away.

Did not know that. With keyboard E is to interact button used on npc, players and lots of objects.

I use them too when I need to clear my inv or if someone asks we pause for a minute, then put them away bc they're annoying.

The only time they are automatically put away is when you switch zones or go through a loading screen area. If it's that important to you, slot them on your Quickbar to make it easier but this is such a minute and unnecessary change that need not be made.

If it makes you feel better, that goes both ways. Console players don't get a lot of nice QoL features because PC players can throw add-ons at the problem. It would be nice if someone on the dev team would consider the individual needs of all the platforms.

On PC I play with a controller(yes, it has its benefits and drawbacks, mostly benefits when it comes to PvE, and drawbacks when it comes to PvP). I actually use a PS4 controller because of the extra touchpad buttons vs. an x-box controller...but regardless of whether you play PS4, X-Box, or PC, if you use a controller, you can and will accidentally interact with a merchant during combat.

To be honest, I can't even stand combat pets as a tank....they are always stunning ads so I can't drag them in(the scamp and the bear are the most guilty of this) and generally getting in the way(Maw of the Infernal Daedroth), either blocking the boss animations or making me think they are an enemy.

Non-combat pets are ok...but honestly, I don't think people should have them out in group either...its just more distraction that isn't needed in more difficult content, followers are all great for immersion I guess, but in a group they are often inconvenient to others. To be honest, pets are the reason I won't even play Sorc, Warden, or Necro....to be effective in those classes you almost have to use the things(with maybe the exception of stamSorc)

Oh how I love my talking Khajiity merchant! I always make sure to resummons him when I travel about Tamriel. I generally don't use non-combat pets so it doesn't bother me that it replaces any current NCP that is equipped.

Not true of magSorc. I'm doing 40k DPS, 50k crits with frags, and get good self-healing through Crit Surge. Also Stormproof. No pets. Hate the things.

Well, if you ever see us randomly jumping up and down near a chest or other lootable, understand that we’re not actually that excited — we’re just trying to get the same overcrowded keybind to cooperate.

And forget jumping over water that has a fishing spot — it’ll knock you off your mount while pertly informing you that you have no bait. XD
