You get the mount and scroll on both server, but obviously only one set on crowns.

I just bought it. I can confirm that you DO get it on both servers. It appears as a runebox that comes to your character through the mail system.

    Looks fantastic in the game.

Wait ... if we buy it, would it appear on both servers?

Generally stuff I buy with money, ends up on both servers - crowns "appear" on both servers, but the stuff I get with them only manifests on the sever I spend it on.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

The rule is basically that if you buy something outside of the game then you get it on both servers, if you buy it inside the game then you only get it on the server you're logged into at the time.

So anything bought from the ESO website, Steam, presumably the Xbox or Playstation stores, 3rd party stores which give you a code to apply to your account or physical copies will be on both servers. Anything bought from the crown store will only be on one server.

I think it comes down to a programming/use of time limitation: they went with the easiest system in both cases. Even if you're logged into your account when buying stuff from the website the game has no way of knowing which server you want it on, so ZOS would have to build extra steps into the process for you to choose and confirm it and for the game to make sure it's only unlocked there. Similarly for crown store purchases to be available on both servers they'd have to build a system to share the data between servers when you make a purchase. This way they didn't have to build either of those systems. It's inconsistent and confusing for players, but simpler for ZOS to create and maintain.

I'm going to say something I may never have said before...

I really like how zos has monetized this.

A rare and distinctive mount available without crown gems or RNG. 3000 crowns were never a popular purchase even during crown sales, but I feel like I'm getting a bargain buy paying only a little over normal price to get the bundle.

Any word on how long the bundle is likely to be available?

I had to check the price of the 3000 crown pack, because I never normally buy it, and I was pleasantly surprised to find this bundle is only £1 more expensive, so it's also a very cheap mount. They do periodically put distinctive mounts in the crown store directly (and used to do more) but they're usually quite expensive.

Even if I compare it to the price of the 5,500 crown packs I normally buy, which brings the price of 3,000 crowns down to £16.35 (instead of £18.99 for the 3k pack) the mount is only £3.63, cheaper than the white mane horse (which is 900 crowns or £4.90 if you buy a 5,500 crown pack).

This pack is very very badly advertised, the only reason I knew about it was because I was doing something else when booting up ESO. Which caused me to accidently catch the pack for sale. Checked the crownstore, nothing about it there... checked the official website for news, nothing about it there. Checked the forums, nothing about it there.

Nothing about it on the forums(except this thread), the main website(which I check every day), or even the log in screen/crownstore. Which makes absolutely no sense if you want to sell stuff. Use the official channels ZOS, not twitter or where-ever else.

PS: The pack is mailed to you on the first character you log in on after buying it.
PPS: Looking for a cute female to pledge my mara to! :naughty:

On the tweets ZOS responded to that question with

"We don't have a planned date to take it down at this time."

You know, you make me ponder something by saying that. If more and more sales go to a non-giftable format then the WTB Crowns for Gold days might be seeing an end, or at least a decrease. Just a wild theory and speculation ofc BUT I seriously don't think that ZoS intended for their Crown Gifting system to be used for Gold trades. For every one person that buys a Crown Item with a Gold trade, it could also technically be potential loss of something that could have otherwise been another actual cash sale (original buyer + gold buyer). Add that up to thousands (or maybe millions) of players that trade gold for Crown items, I can imagine it could become quite the monetary loss for the company. At the end of the day it's all about the money...

But isnt, think that the player buying with gold, has to trade with someone that has crowns that he bought with real cash, the economy stays the same and is even more worth for ZOS, becasue players with real cash and crowns that already have lot of stuff, will likely also like gold, so will benefit of those people that have lot of it, also, people who buys with gold are because their country currency is *** (Ex.: Venezuela), so will be never a potential crown buyer.

Like I already said in my post you quoted, it's a potential sales loss if BOTH the seller and buyer would have otherwise wanted and bought the items separately from the Crown Store IF there weren't trade options available. 1 sale vs 2 sales.

That is true but correct me if I'm wrong here -- going to guess that is a much smaller audience and not the majority of players.

I bought this pack for myself yesterday and I love the mount.

Unless I've completely missed an option, you cannot gift an item to someone from the Playstation/XBox/whatever PC uses store like you can from specifically the ESO Crown Store.

My understanding is that this is not in the ESO Crown Store but rather your respective platform's store, which is totally a different interface.

That's not what is happening here.

We had a similar product introduced last year, and still available, in the form of the Salamander pet pack.

A pet, 1500 Crowns, and some extra consumable for the same price as a regular 1500 Crown pack.

The point of these, first and foremost, is to bring people to the Crown Store. This is done by making a one time only pack available which includes a little extra. You buy it for the mount, and come back for the Crowns.

I don't think there's anything wrong with this but it is worth knowing what the likely intention of the product really is. It's a gateway product.
