Scrying and leads drop chance

So, I've been collecting leads for the Dwemer wolf mount with both my magsorc (Scrying 8) and magblade (scrying 0). I have noticed that leads drop so much easier with my magsorc, whereas not so with my magblade. I must have run Volenfell and Darkshade Caverns 2 20 times each with my magblade and still haven't dropped the leads. I run DS 1 with my magsorc and got it immediately. Is this pure RNG or having higher levels of scrying improves your chances of dropping leads?

RNG is RNG, @Amorpho ... it's different for every player.

I had a terrible time with the Torc or Tonal Constancy leads on my Antiquities main ... and had to change characters to get the last lead from the Deshaan world boss.

Does anyone know the % drop chance for these leads? Or is this something only devs will know?

ZOS doesn't publish those kind of stats ... but maybe an enterprising player (who has pursued multiple mythic items) has kept data they can share.

R N freaking G can be soooooo frustating!
Vollenfell's lead drop on the 1st attempt Iv'e made. Atm I've ran DC2 at least 30 times, between main and several alt chars, and no lead dropped... The other lead I'm missing is from Mtharnaz delve (Craglorn), already killed the delve's boss over 30 times without a lead drop... Frustrating.

As someone who doesn't own Greymoor yet (waiting on the 70% sale Elsweyr got quite a lot) I feel like the drop rate is insanely high I have so many gold leads from various dungeons, including Darkshade 2 and Volenfell, and the expiry timer on them (and the fact that they drop at all for non-owners of the Chapter) is so damn transparent that it just puts me off the Chapter even more. Shameless.

Yes, the expiry time is a [snip] But at the end of the day, they've got to give you a reason to buy the new chapter. However, it would have been better if the antiquities you dig up could be sold to others... It would have made scrying a viable source of revenue.

I have a theory... the more leads you have excavated, the lower your drop rate. Honestly, it seems the more leads you have *found* the lower the drop rate.

During the first week, my first antiquarian found tons leads very easily. Second dragon dropped the window, first dungeon runs etc. As 1st antiquarian got to be level 5 I started using other chracters to generate leads for her to dig up, because she wasn't getting any easy drops. And for a while that worked.

Now that I'm working on Antiquarian #4... I haven't had an easy drop in a while. Got the 3rd drop from EH1 last night, but I haven't run that dungeon in months. The grind for second window lead from dragons was so long I just gave up until there's an Elsweyr event. Not looking forward to 40 more BGs to get another Alessia lead.

All of my characters have been used for leads generation at this point, and my codex isn't even full. Not sure how anyone managed to get it 100% in under 3 months, it look me that long just to get 1 of each lead.
