vMarch of Sacrifices difficulty?

I've done vMA with a mDK but I'm now rusty and wonder if I should watch a video of the mechanics in vMoS before trying it for the first time.

Don't want to be kicked from the group only because I don't understand the mechanics, but dislike the idea of having to watch a video first to learn how to play a computer game.

Dislike it even more that a PvP gamer must play difficult DLC dungeons to get the best monster gear.

I wouldnt say its that hard, but if youve never done it definetly brush up on mechanics. The indrik boss from what ive seen gives people the hardest time.

Just queue and ask the group. That's what i always do when a new dungeon is released

My approach in these situations is to just jump in without too much research, but with a guide handy in case I need it. Like only if your group wipes, then maybe check the guide (Alcast or someone)

Of course, the best option would be to run it with friends or guildies so you don't have to hope that randoms will be nice enough to explain mechanics

vMoS is neither the hardest nor the easiest DLC dungeon. I would say a bit easier than Fang Lair or Moonhunter Keep, as in similar DPS/heal/tank skills needed but fewer mechanics that need explaining. That said, hope your sneaking skills aren't too rusty ...

not at all. you only need to dodge AOEs while sneaking during one boss which is a lot easier than it probably sounds

I don't really see the difference here but alright. By walking out of them you're dodging, avoiding, them

    Not difficult at all.

1st boss(es) can be done fairly easy by killing them in the right order. Healer->Archer->Tank.

2nd boss, nothing special. Just stay out of aoe.

3rd boss, it's the Indrik. Clean adds asap, burn boss, stay out of aoes.

4th boss, last one. Easiest boss in dungeon in non-HM.

It's just a Dodge roll will remove you from stealth ergo causing you to be seen and sucked up and dropped.
It seems the same but the idea is to stay out of aoes while remaining in stealth.
    Hence their statement walk.

    Which boss, please?

    Indrik boss.

1st boss was explained before, tank cant let circles to overlap. Shield lady charges at random person. Healer lady heals that can be interrupted, sometimes does Teleport Strike. Bow lady does Taking Aim that can be bashed or dodged. Blue circle silences(cant cast anything that costs magicka)

2nd boss. If dps is high, burst it and dont worry about mechs (most of groups dont even know them, unless for achievment). If dps is low: lure and kill correct Lurcher to its colored circle, each person synergizes then when Boss charges the beams stand on the circle till it explodes.

3rd boss. Kill archers whenever they spawn. Boss jumps up then creates some tornadoes that chase you. Roll into them or block.

4th boss. Crouch. If you get out of crouch you will get lifted and get fall damage. Second lift one-shots you. When crouched synergize the little wisp three times when it stops with green area under it. That reveals the boss, do damage, repeat. Each crouch cycle adds something damaging that can pull you out of sneak, either ice patches or ghost indriks

Last boss: if you dont have any mechanics addon, listen to audio cues. Boss can cause: electric water (stand on islands), poison plants (stand in water), icy roar (dont stand in stupid), fire smash (tank needs to stand in geyser), fire charge. At some point, he will hide and greatly reduce your vision and slowly approach one of you. Person targeted need to lure the boss into light beam trap one NPC makes somewhere on the map. Direwolves running around can slow you down.

The whole dungeon can be easier if you do optional side areas with Golden Indrik, each one gives you a buff. if you hear ringing sound somewhere, search for "suspicious mushrooms" I think, synergize to reveal a wisp then follow it. Do some crouch minigame (like I explained on 4th boss) then kill Golden Indrik before it escapes. Kill all 3 to get memento.

oh yeah I see dodge and dodgeroll as two different things but I can see how it'd easily be confused

fire smash (tank needs to stand in geyser)
    plain wrong.
icy roar (dont stand in stupid)
Since @op is the tank he should hold boss, block, and by the love of God, not spin since it follows u.

The archer does that, the healer can just walk up to an other boss when they're lower in health. Also, it's really not necessary to prevent them from stacking the circles. I got the achievement since I totally cleared the DLC, keeping them away from each other requires multiple taunts and very carefully and equally distributed dps.

The icy Roar is a cone attack over time. It's more of a "block and face away from the group" for the tank and "don't stand in front of the boss" for the others, you shouldn't move or try to get out of the effect. There is no geyser. The boss has a fire stomp, in HM it throws a fireball to everyone in the group, you all need to dodge.

Always watch at least one mechanics video beforehand if unsure of the dungeon. Be aware of stupid things you can do to accidently kill the group. I like to be prepared, so when I started vet dlc dungeons I watched as many videos as I could so I was not going in blind. Normal DLCs are fine, but you miss a lot of mehs due to pure dps burn.
