Anything in Alliance war skill tree useful for PvE MagSorc?

Have both assault and support maxed, but never put any skill points in there, since I don't PvP (except occasional battlegrounds match). The recent discussion about change to rapid maneuvers, got me thinking, that maybe I'm missing out (had no idea this skill even existed beforehand, lol). Are there any Alliance war skills that you can recommend getting for MagSorc - solo PvE and/or dungeons?

No. Maybe Barrier ult for some hard content with 3dd, or Purge. Not really necessary tho.

If you slot any Alliance support skill (& unlock the appropriate passive), you can get a buff to your magic regeneration which can come in handy, if you need it.

However the skills themselves, no, not really useful. If I really need the mag regen, I would slot Barrier as the ulti and use it as an "oh [snip]" button, but really just leave it there for passive regen.

Mag dps PvE? No alliance skills of interest as far as I'm concerned. Couple easy skill points for tutorial and that's it.

Purge, Prox Det, and of course RAPIDS, all have uses in PVE. If you are building solely for PVE DPS, you probably dont need to touch any of it. Prox Det is one of those skills that sounds good in theory for PVE, but nobody bothers with it for the most part. If you ever decide to swap to stamina, you will def want Vigor and maybe Caltrops.

You say no points, but hopefully you have some in the passives??

You say no points, but hopefully you have some in the passives??

Should I have? From the looks of it they are all dependant on PvP related things - being near / capturing keep, being in PvP area, killing players, or in the very least having alliance war ability slotted. Can absolutely throw skill points at them if need be, but what's the point if the skill line itself doesn't have much to offer.
