Hey guys, like grouping up and harassing people questing?

Love getting killed while fighting a boss?

Have we got the event for you!

But not for AP... that would be too much. You get TELVAR... which ... has a few things you can buy!

Anyways. we also have NEW STYLES! That you wont earn by playing.. because they're locked behind RNG.

You'll get Xivkyn Motifs! And Key Fragments by the barrell! Dont worry though, its not just trash.. (although you wouldn't know it by playing)

Those styles are totally obtainable.. other players will sell them to you for $$$$ or you can pay real money! Its a Win-Win for us!

Also there's a horse for gems get to buying crates guys.

Thanks!

AND the crates that have already been out for a while are the only ones available, so if you want those gems you won't even have any new and interesting stuff to RNG into while you're spending real $$$$ to get them! Isn't this FUN!?! SAY IT'S FUN.

But if the reward boxes are still crap, whats the point of running group dungeons? If you want the styles, most people already have 13 quests to turn in for boxes.

I have yet to get a style page out of any of them.

Oooooh! That makes much more sense.

During the Imperial City Celebration event, you can be run over by ball groups! Streamed live on someones Twitch channel, as they camp you at your spawn spot! Yelling "No Mercy!"

-Double the amount of Tel Var Stones dropped from all monsters (Not that you will see)
    -Bonus chance of picking up either the Stonefire Scamp pet or the Soul-Shriven skin (in-between running back to your corpse, cause you all died from a bomber before you could loot}
-Double the amount of Key Fragments (cause... yeah..)
-Bonus loot dropped by Trove Scamps and Cunning Scamps (Good luck....)
-Bonus drops from bosses (including within the Imperial City itself and its dungeons) (That you WILL DIE FROM WHILE TRYING TO KILL!)

But as a great twitch streamer once said. "Suck it up buttercup, cause I dont give a S**T"

    [snip]

This was a mostly below 50s raid we had btw.. Trying to help people in a NON CP IC.. Not that it mattered. Could have just tossed them into the shark waters and told them to suck it up buttercup.

Pages do drop from purple boxes and drop rate seems to be decent for me. Except that time when I've opened like 7 or 8 in one go after hanging around the sewers with a group and got nothing notable.

How do you camp someone in IC? Above ground you can just go to another district, below - you can go up and get to the sewers from there, no?

I really don't get why people re getting so worked up by this event. It has been pointed out numerous times already, that you don't need to PvP in order to get the loot boxes. If you're in for the style pages, the prices will drop when the event is over and they will be dirt cheap at the guild stores.

However, IF you decide to go to IC, expect to get into a fight. People will camp, people will add, people will farm questers, people will play dirty, people will zerg. That's how it works. Going into a PvP zone and expecting to safely do your questing is just naive.

Yes, the style pages can drop from the purple boxes, and the purple boxes can drop from Tel Var chests as well as from killing some of the enemies. I haven't gotten a lot of style pages yet, but I've gotten several, although a few of them were duplicates.

I'm telling myself I'll spend more time in the sewers and districts after completing the six daily jobs, to at least try to farm the Tel Var chests, but so far I haven't done it because it's taken longer than expected to complete the daily jobs on two servers, then I still need to do crafting writs on several characters per server.

And I haven't been to IC on any of my alternate characters yet, either, which is another way to farm the purple reward boxes.

    Just to share my routine:
    1. Turn in 1-2 of the dailies done beforehand.
    2. Pick whatever dailies there are to pick.
    3. Go to Arena - this is the 'guaranteed' daily I pick and do, just in case it's too uncomfortable to get into the districts. There are spawn points you can poke from base exit, and they respawn pretty fast. If it's quiet - just jump into the district.
    4. Try to do the dailies you picked earlier
    5. The fun part: lfg or just find a group and tag along. This will also get you some event boxes from mobs, bosses and chests while you are running around.

There are ppl in "wild hunt mode" who try to kill anything that moves
There are ppl who won't care for a solo enemy unless they attack
There are ppl who will help you with a boss regardless of your alliance

Just leave your base with the thought that you're already dead and treat every minute you're not as a bonus. And don't forget to bank your tel vars and that queuing for empty Cyro campaign is a fine alternative to retreat sigils.

He is in the right here, PvPing in a PvP zone is in every case, fair. You can argue about how ethical or unfriendly the way it happens, but it is allowed, encouraged and not punishable in any form. Those reds could have switched district, or even campaign if they feel farmed (or at least fight back), but they choose not to. In this case the big bad streamer could farm them all night while half asleep, but luckily for the reds it gets boring fast.

Incidentally, I've experienced the same from red and yellow and I don't complain one bit. Invisibility pots/cloak/vampire sprint invisibility is pretty useful when encountering that. The districts are relatively easy to navigate and get back to quest objectives if someone is camping the spawn so I'm back and at it in what... Two minutes tops counting the loading screens? If there's an obstacle in my way? I just go around. I'm not sure why these people shown in the stream wouldn't do the same. Swapping districts and coming back in is a good way to lose them when they camp the spawn. Staying there is most certainly going to cause them to circle around like sharks--which they did. I would've too. :D

See... Now I was an officer in a guild that helped people out. PvP and PvE alike, unbelievable, right? We helped farm sets, craft, drag them threw vet content and teach them mechanics since not everyone can DPS threw them. Get them started in trials. And whats more is, we only asked that they help someone else.

But when it comes to PvP, it seems the majority of people just say FU, it is what it is. Get over it. And that... in its hole... is sludge at the bottom of the barrel.

Last night I was busying lockpicking a treasure chest in the sewers when a 20 man ball group snuck up behind me, to my credit I actually survived their first attack and if I'd been on a nightblade I might have got away, but on a Stamplar I didn't quite make it.

The best bit was 6 of them emoting all over my dead corpse! :D (I mean if you have to celebrate 20 of you coming up behind a person picking a chest and then still almost not killing them, I think it is time to re-evalutate your life!)

This is the fastest way to get the dailies done.

Have all six before you even think of dropping down into the districts. Find out where your faction's zerg is and follow the crowd. They will do most of the dailies for you, as long as you are getting in hits and heals on everything they are attacking. When (not if) your zerg gets destroyed by a bigger zerg, check your journal in the safety of your respawn place. You can see which dailies are done and which need finishing up.

Incidentally, you do get plenty of AP if you join the zerg. You get it from enemy players killed, and from the flag captures along the way. My mules who got robbed of their Rapids are already up to Alliance Rank 4, just from player kills and flag caps during the event. Be sure and grab the bounty board daily as well. The zone quest is also paying double telvar during the event, it can be done along with the dailies.

Also, the event is one of the fastest ways to level up new characters. With one of the free Grand XP scrolls they gave out, my lvl 16-20 toons are getting two to three full levels in 60 seconds, just from handing in six dailies, a bounty mission, and one leg of the zone quest.

You get around 6k tel var per set of dailies per character, and another 4 to 6k from boxes from bosses, treasure chests, and regular mobs. And the key fragments can get you some decent weapons and jewelry to sell. And I've gotten close to a full set of both styles, plus most of the Xivkyn motif pages.

It's really not that hard, unless you want it to be. I've died over a hundred times, I just respawn and get back to work, and don't let it bother me.

I wish I had the space for another alliance! Honestly though, I don't even mind when they do it. I've seriously missed action in the IC and I've had a blast, even if I'm on my back most of the time while trying to clear my daily quest before I go back and kill others. :D It really is a matter of perspective. I miss the days where it was packed and there was always a large fight. It's almost like it used to be, but not quite.

it's like Midyear Mayhem except with higher risk. do you carry more Tel Var for that delicious multiplier, or do you play it safe and bank every stone you get? Do you sneak around trying to play it safe, or do you zerg like a madman after you've found a group of allies?

Imperial City is pretty much the epitome of total anarchy, because while Cyrodiil is full of players waiting to kill you, Imperial City takes that as well as slews of mobs and deceptively powerful bosses around every corner. Odds are, if it moves, either kill it or run. But like the Cyrodiil event (or like Cyrodiil during Anniversary Jubilee), you need to go in preparing for grifers, gankers, and other people (or evne AI) that exist solely to make your life miserable. The tip is to outnumber them, outclass them, outgun them, outsmart them, or outmaneuver them. If you can't do any of those things, you're better off just staying on your starter island farming mudcrabs.
Shortly after the formation of the Ebonheart Pact, a Nord woman was given a tour of the Tribunal Temple. When later asked about the experience, she seemed upset. Suffice to say, the Dunmer were not pleased to hear this, and thus they inquired further.
"Well," the Nord frowned, "the priests were very angry and unwelcoming. They kept shouting things at me like "you can't drink that mead in here!" and "somebody stop her, she's running naked!" and "we can't catch her; she's covered in grease!""

Inaccurate. IC is the only content that blends PvE and PvP. The PvE in Cyrodiil is too far away from the action to be relevant to the PvP side of things.

Every class can utilize stealth from simply crouching to using invisibility pots. One can realistically complete the entire IC storyline in stealth.

Tel var can get you alchemy material that you don't need to farm, polymorphs that you can use or sell to others for gold, and hakeijo runes that has a multitude of uses or you can sell these for about 10k gold+ (5k tel var per rune). These are only my favorite things to buy with tel var. There are other things available for purchase.

The tel var merchant sells sigils of Imperial retreat. So if things get to hot these can port you back home. Just make sure you're in a safe spot and properly hidden. If combat bug prevents a port or you don't want to buy a sigil just port to a Cyrodiil campaign. This will be free and gives you the opportunity to choose a different IC instance that is less hectic.

Always look at map to see what your alliance owns to determine where it is potentially "safe" to quest (risk will still be present). When you use a ladder in the ladder room look at the map again to look for alliance swords to determine where fighting is occurring. This can help you determine the safest place to quest.

You should not be walking around with all your tel var. If you're not grouped up and going solo it is probably best to deposit after getting 5k. Can port to Cyrodiil and back to IC like I mentioned above then go to the banker at your base.

Finally if PvP is not your cup of tea and your focus is tickets just farm white gold tower or Imperial City prison.

Also no one is forcing you to buy that horse.

    Favorite Foods and Potions
    https://media.giphy.com/media/3otPoTggaYFNd1FdAI/giphy.gif
    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).
