Question about Stone Giant...aka "poop Fist" (pve only)

Ok, i have a question in regards to the casting and use of this skill. Many builds out there say things like "9x Stone Giant (with LA)" or cast 3 times, etc.
My question is this, what does that entail exactly? Do they mean cast it, then throw the 3 stones and do that 9 (or 3, whatever number) times or is the casting of the stones included in those numbers? Watched videos and just cant get a clear look at how it is actually used. I mean using the above as an example do I do the initial cast, the stomp, and then chuck 3 stones and do THAT 9 times, which seems extreme, or is the chucking of the stones included in that 9, so in essence you stomp then throw 3, stomp, throw 3, stomp, throw 3 and thats your 9? Or 3 on some builds....
See my dilemma?
Also for some reason with me when I do the stomp and then go to cast to stones it does the stomp again...is that a bug?
Anyways, any tips or clarity on how to use this would be most appreciated. Cheers.

Lol, you think you have problems with stupid looking skills, try being a Templar when your main spamable is jabs, the only bad looking skill in the class repertoire and probably one of the most gormless looking skills in the entire game 😂

lol, never once mentioned that it was stupid looking (it is, lol) or anything like that. With jabs, at least you know how to use them.....whereas thats what I am asking with this.

Lets not forget that with those jabs you lot are pumping out some decent numbers as well....

Just to add...here is another example of what confuses me...
" Barbed Trap - Stone Giant x1 - Venomous Claw - Stone Giant x1 - Noxious Breath"

ok, so with that do you do... the stomp and throw all 3 stones, then claw, then Giant again and so on?
Guess what I am asking is "Stone Giant x1" meant to be the whole sequence or..... in other words stomp,throw,throw,throw....next skill?

The stomp applies stagger as well, so it would just be stomp throw throw,

You're way over thinking this. Most guides that state rotations and skills as 3x" or "9x" just mean cast the skill 3 times or 9 times with light attacks in between. They don't always need to say light attack in between because it's a given, if you want more dps, light attack weave.

This skill is no different from any other in the game, every part of the skill hits for the same amount of damage, every part of it applies stagger, most dk skills are melee range anyway, so the entire skill from stomp to poop throwing is probably done in melee range too. In the end, it really doesn't matter what phase of poop fist it's in and It's why your guide doesn't specify.

Lol....yea, easier to just not use it. Can hit hard though....

I remember the good old days when we just threw the stone, and if it stunned it dealt double damage equivalent to a spammable. But yeah its a given to light attack in between each ability you cast. I'm honestly curious to see how well you do with it because many people have simply ignored the ability completely and gone for things like Dizzying Swing.

In pve it's skill LA skill LA skill LA. I.E you press a button for a skill you will be la attacking right after.

Stomp la stone la stone la stone la claw la.....

sorry luv. The flying poop looks 10x worse then jabs. If it made a rocky shell around your palm and you used it like an actual fist? i would use it 100% but throwing poo at people from distance is ... well... pardon the pun. [snip]
