DF puts my low level tank in veteran content.

I started to level a tank and i'm not level 40 yet, I am however 810cp.
But dungeon finder tries to put me in veteran content even tho i que up for normal and when the que pops it says that I can't join my lvl is to low.
So I have to leave group and take a penality, this must be a known bug right?

Did you check the normal/vet selector at the top of the group finder screen? If you have vet selected but you queue for a specific normal dungeon I'm not sure what happens.

But I'm not level 50 on this character so veteran isn't even unlocked.

It only happened 2 Times so far, but it must be a bug.

Zos must have decided that your tank is simply too good for normal content, that is why they try to put in veteran.

Below lvl 50 there is no selector. It is impossible for them to even try to queue for a specific or random vet dungeon.

@Gulnagel I have tagged a couple from Zos but it is best if you provide details such as what server and platform this was on, the character name, and anything else you can think of. If this has truly happened to you twice on the same character that is to frequent for such a bug.

I'm on ps4 EU, when the que poped it said "can't jump to instance you are to low level or are missing champion points"
I also tried to travel in to the dungeon via a group member, and it wouldn't let me. Then I saw the diffuculty, my lvl 41 ended up in veteran. First time it happened I didn't think to much about it, but the second I Reacted.

Character name: bondenVl (the "l" is a small L)

PC EU random normal low level character put me in vWS1. Needless to say group disbanded and we all got the penalty (put me in group with 2 vets and another low level)

Try logging into another of your characters and setting the dungeon difficulty to normal, then switch back to the little tank and test the queue again. I think something like this happened to me before a really long time ago. If that fails, try closing and reopening the game.

The thing is, this never happened before stonethorn patch. So it's been going on for a week I guess.

Happened to me again yesterday, this time, vet city of ashes. When I finished the daily BG my dungeon penalty still didn't go down just yet.

Details are needed if anyone wants Zos to actually look into this. Details such as when where are required information since we have six servers across three platforms and Zos needs to have an idea of when in the timeline to start looking. WIthout that Zos has nothing to work on. Other information such as the name of the character you were on and what dungeon the GF placed the group in are also helpful.

Same thing just happened to me about ten minutes ago. Q and trying to enter manually gave me a generic error about the character being too low-level. Trying to teleport to group leader gave no error. Nothing happened at all; nothing even started to happen.

My account name is right here in the forum post, along with a timestamp, so that's all they need to know. If they can't determine, via a few clicks, what character and server I was on and what I was trying to do, their tech is obscenely pathetic.

Same here, when this bug occurs, you get that message and trying to teleport to group nothing happens, it's like your character knows it's veteran and awkwardly ignore it.

If the group leader had their dungeon difficulty set to veteran before grouping with below CP characters, and queues for a random normal, once a dungeon is drawn, the group will be set to veteran and no below CP character will be able to port into the dungeon, even though it will be normal difficulty.
