Please stop locking colors in outfits/motifs

I wanted to use the new Legion Zero Vigiles Guards on an outfit build today, and I spent hours trying to get a decent color combination to match the dark red part (fur?) at the sides of the guards that can't be changed (which is already difficult by itself due to the colors applying like they damn well want depending of the armor piece, but oh well). And even when I *mostly* managed to do it, it still looks like **** half of the times because that dark red color is way too dark, and in darker environments it just looks like it's almost pitch black, ruining your outfit no matter how well you've chosen your other colors (unless you go full Goth, of course :P).

Not to talk that I've been waiting for a long time for the Windhelm Scale Tunic Shoulders to be dyeable, and we still can't dye it :P

Please, even if you've to link some part to another (like that dark red fur to the leather strips above it), that'd be preferable to having locked colors. At least we'd have the freedom to change everything more to our tastes.

It'll be also nice if we had a 4th dye channel to apply. It'll add a bit more diversity on what parts of the outfits we want to dye.

That'd be awesome indeed, but I'm not gonna ask them for that much :P

I'd be happy if they just fixed the Vigiles Guards. I could name 2 or 3 more pieces, but oh well...the Vigiles piece is the one with the best chances right now.

It would be grand indeed if they stopped locking colors to styles and managed some type of consistency in their normal maps so that dyes applied evenly across styles. It's so much work trying to mix and match motifs because the dyes come out completely different per piece.

I just want the dye on the gear to match the little color square, regardless of original color, material, whatever else causes it to not even be remotely close.

    Agreed.
    That's it, that's all.

Yeah, that, too, but that'd probably involve some shader rework, which no way that they're gonna do.

Piece of advice? Ask for small things: it's equally probable that they're just gonna ignore you, but at least you can retain a little sliver of hope :P

    SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Much This!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't care about getting the belt, chest, legs, or helm of this armor since it literally can't match anything but the, equally abhorrent, Dreadhorn style (and for some reason the gauntlets only have 2 dye channels, even though the first one is dying two distinctly separate parts.) I would have loved the Deadwater style, except it has multiple (mismatched!) undyeable colors. Then we have all of the recent armors that have forced gold badges all over them. All I want is to be able to make custom sets without being forced to either break my color scheme or not use certain styles (which may have otherwise been awesome) :(

Same with Dragonguard Light chest. It's a pretty nice piece if you wanna suit your character Imperial-style, but that purple piece...I know that purple was considered a color of the wealthy and powerful in Ancient Roman times, but I also wanted to include some red, which would bring it close to the default DG outfit, and I've always thought that the Dragonguard NPC's color scheme is just HORRENDOUS.

Don't forget buoyant armiger: the green stuff is classical - ok, but does the light chest (and to lesser extend other light pieces) have to include uncolorable gray metal parts too? Not only are we dodging / working with one unchangeable color, but two. Getting any good looking color scheme is nigh impossible this way.
