Siroria staff front bar?!

Apparently, people are using Siroria flame staff instead of Mother's Sorrow on the front bar now. Can anyone explain the idea behind this? Is it because they reduced the stack size to 10?
And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

It worked before too but it sure helps that there are fewer stacks now.

The idea is to only gain stacks on the front bar to have mother's sorrow on at all times, and as we both pointed out, you get to full stacks faster now than before so it's easier to front bar it.

Siroria retains its effect for a few seconds when bar swapping. Since you're only on your back bar for less than 5 seconds, it stays active the whole time without losing anything. Mother's sorrow basically turns off extra damage when swapping.

It also works the other way around with Siroria permanently active and Mother's Sorrow on the front bar only. Your dps will take a slight hit but not a very big one as you will be spending most of the time during your rotation on the front bar.
This setup might not be ideal, but it's certainly easier to get a Mother's Sorrow staff than Siroria seeing how getting MS only comes down to persistence while Siroria requires a group and takes significantly more time.

It is also to maintain high crit provided by MS on both your front and backbar, and as is said above you’re not spending an awful lot of time on your backbar - so maintaining stacks is very easy.
