Nightblades Using Path of Darkness?

My Nightblade spent a skill point on Path of Darkness but never finds much use for it. Is anyone a fan of this skill and when do you use it?

    As a MagBlade I use it all the time. But I wouldn't use it on my StamBlade.

    Did you morph it to Twisting Path? It's Nightblade's AoE DoT similar to Spear Shards (Templar), Lightning Splash (Sorc), etc.

    I use refreshing path on my magblade. He's set up more for PvP so when I have to run dungeons with him I play him as a healer.

    Twisted Path is a fine ground DoT though for dungeon DPS. It doesn't offer a synergy (I don't think) like the more popular class ground DoTs, but as someone who mostly runs dungeons as a tank I always appreciate the major expedition from someone running either morph of this.

    Currently, one morph does damage, and the other morph heals. So it gets used, but it's situational.

    I can't believe you are comparing actually a good skill that is part of almost every magblade toolkit to 2 skills in other classes that are generally dps loss (at least lightning flood)

    That sounds like a bug, submit it and ZOS will fix either the tooltip or length

    The short answer is if you're mag, you should always be using it. If you're stam, get rid of it.
    I play this game a little bit I guess

    For magblade, if you are lazy like me, I prefer mystuc orb over path of darkness. Mystic does slightly more damage than path of darkness along with elementa wall. I don't sweat much so I normaly use 2 AOE skills instead of 3. If I use thress then it would be path of darkness, orb and wall.

    Yea, I myself also did multiple threads for this particlure bug abd submutted multiple tickets in game since last year. Sadly, this bug still persist even after many people raise this issue. Tbh, even if the buff was fixed, the skill abd its morphs still overwhelming weak in comparison to other dots like wall, path, and orbs.

    it does double the damage of all other ground AOEs in the game. yes, you ought to be running it if you are a mag DPS.

    I mostly PVE duo with my husband and I've taken the Refreshing Path morph. Haven't had enough time to evaluate but I suspect it will be useful for us.
