Warden bear questions/request

I have been playing melee classes for the entire 2 years of ESO. I mainly PvP and am a reasonable player. I have been trying to make a bow/bow build just because I liked the idea of it. I wanted it to be relatively in your face rather than cowardly which is why I made it on warden.

It's pretty good in groups, not so great 1v1. I found it to be much better with the bear for the execute, the body block was helpful too 😂

I have never played a character with pets so you'll have to excuse my ignorance, but is there a way to ensure the bear attacks the person I attack? In group PvP he just runs off and does his own thing making his execute very hard to pull off...

If this isn't a thing, could I ask zos to gives us some aggro options?

There is a keybinding in settings you can set to command pets to attack your currently selected target. It can be quite useful in PVP when you don't want your animals and daedra attacking something silly.... like another person's pet. I've seen plenty of bears attacking other bears to know that keybinding is necessary lol.

If you wind up a heavy attack, the bear will instantly go for your target.

There is also (as said above) a 'command pet' keybinding. To use it, hold down the key while doing a light attack on your target. Then you can release the key. Bear will go for your target.

So the bear works if you command him to be passive until the moment you want to execute and just use him as a shield the rest of the time 😂 in a duel you can just let him do his thing...

Ye don't trust the bear to attack the same target, even in pve he decides to go hit immune boss instead of the one with hp even though you SPAM HEAVY ATTACK EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE HE IS STILL GOING TO HIT THE IMMUNE ONE, AND WHEN THE MAGE GOES TO STAND UP, HE JUST STANDS THERE LOOKING AT THE FREAKING VOID OR SOMETHING

Bear does what bear wants! It can be frustrating but the bear has saved me more times than it has made terrible decisions. Just have to watch those ultra sometimes because you don’t want to waste that damage on an add. That’s where it gets frustrating.

So my final verdict is:

In duels bear is amazing, open world I have to stick with barrage and healing thicket.

When you fight someone one v one though I wish I had the bear 😂

In a big fight there is too much going on to wonder where the bear is and it takes too long for him to get to a target in execute range. They should make it a charge attack imo and execute which ever target you are currently attacking. Then it really wouldn't matter as much if he goes walkies...

Dude for PvP in big fights your frosty ulti is sooooo strong. Yes, even as stam.

I know man, I have played stamden mostly at melee range. Mainly 2h, but did recently try duel wield bleed build. Normally have permafrost, but this build is contrary to that. So I need to operate at range. It works... it's just not as strong as any other weapon tbh. We know it works on a nb, but I wanted to play something that reassembled playing a hunter on wow.

Can I also recomend for a bow build you go main bar bow and back bar 2h for rally.... Its your choice but that also works really well

Thanks for the tip, but I am getting major brutality through netch, it's also a purge so feels more valuable this patch imo 👍
