Quest "A Childhood in Flames": Daini disrupts stealth

I am at the point in "A Childhood in Flames" where you enter a warehouse to examine marked chests and I am using a VERY sneak-oriented character. Daini is accompanying my character but, although she crouches, every time she comes near me I become "unstealthed" and visible to the guards. I think I should be able to get to the crates without being seen.
I have tried unstealthing and stealthing again, logging out and logging in again but it makes no difference.
