A few other games I've played, Star Wars The Old Republic, Champions Online, Star Trek Online, City of Heroes, have had an option on the minimap, or at fast travel locations similar to wayshrines in eso, to be able to select from a list of current instances, I just recently found out eso has instances, but lacks this selection feature, perhaps it should be added as an option when as a waysrhine or looking on the map for the cost of gold to fast travel to another instance of a zone at the nearest wayshrine?
Let us hide vampirsm with a "none" option in the collections menu, let us hide every piece of armor in the outfit station, at the very least let us hide shoulders belts, and gloves please zos I just wana run around as a prisoner without having to find a belt or shoulderpads that fit

You can travel to friends in a different instance. The only other reason I can think of to want to change instances would be to bypass spawn times on WBs and Dolmens and things, something ZOS probably doesn't want people doing.

The main reason for moving instances:-
is looking for working code and an alert hamster

(but that is easier said than done on PC-EU)

The only reason I can think of for trying different instances is finding a group, in particular a group for trials in Craglorn.. What I have found out is one instance of craglorn could be dead, while another is booming.

This is a good idea actually. My girlfriend and I were talking about this the other day. We were in craglorn looking for trial groups and we said how it would be awesome if we could go to different instances to see if people were looking for groups there.

I'd like to see this. Some folks prefer lots of company and could opt to join more populated instances. Others, like me, prefer as few as possible other players around. For yet others, it could depend on what they're trying to accomplish during that session.

Regardless, I'd like to see more instances. My elf makes her home in Elden Root. The crafting area, wayshrine area and undaunted enclave are routinely so full of characters, special effects, exploding mounts, mudpies, scores of flapping winged twilight pets, dueling, etc as to be absurd.

My other games actually have events were that happens, Such as Champions Online, one zone has a boss up, then after they are done with zone 1 they move to zone 2 and for the main areas instances during seasonal events we can have up to 5 or 6 zones active at a time, that the event sorta requires you to move between to gain the in game currency, zos seems to have easier world bosses that a team of 4 or less could handle, were as those zones require a minimum of usually 10 people for some of the easier event bosses, or a minimum of 20 for the harder world/event bosses.

SWTOR is sorta similar in the fact you need a entire group of at least 8 people to typically start the boss fight on normal difficulty. But I see them making multiple instances less often for that reason.

Another addition form other mmos is when you use zone chat, your instance is listed next to your name

    Example:
    Zone1@BellaDCopular: Yo any groups?
Zone2@TheCyberchill: We're in Zone 2 at the moment doing a worldboss.
Zone3@Cyberchill: They are currently full, they'll move to this instance next, we still have room.

this will have an impact on ingame economy for sure. cheaters using bots to gather mats will definitely exploit this. dolmen item farming will be a bit easier. fishing will be alot easier thus increasing roe drop chance. wb farming will be hell a lot easier thus increasing chance of good overland item
all this will reduce the items values in the market.
who knows how many more ways players can exploit this

but instance change for chat only would be a great harmless feature for people trying to find groups and posting wts wtb.

One question. Is zone chat in a zone separated for each individual instance?

Yes, you can only see messages from players that are in the same instance as your character.

I'm going to have to test that, because I thought it was across instances.
