Leap abilites bug

I noticed in BG every other match my leap abilites won't work. It says the target not close enough thing but it won't work at any distance.
The abilities I've tried is, Crit charge, Shield charge, Toppling.
I play with gamepad mode on so I can't say that it affects the M&KB
