PSA: Necros, WW, Vamp - Latest patch, lose EVERYTHING to guards

PSA: Be extra careful not to accrue a bounty in game today! There's a rare but devastating bug where guards will confiscate literally everything except the clothes on your back when you pay your bounty. Locked gear, monster sets, everything. If you're a necro consider taking those skelly skills off your bar before doing your writs.

sounds to extreme to be true but 76 has taught me that nothing is impossible to break.
ima take extra precaution from now on

Not seen anything on this forum outside of this post so assume an hoax but will not pay to guards if picking up something.

Just checked it with my alt with some irrelevant crafted junk on her, I still have my stuff. Tried with both having something stolen in my bag and not.
If it really happened to someone, it has to be some different trigger.

I highly doubt set items from the new dungeon could be stolen but hey that's just my two cents...

Remind me of an Skyrim bugs if you put stuff in an container and asked Lydia or other follower to take the content it would be marked as stolen. Still it was an tricks to get her to carry 20 ton of materials out of blackreach

I'm going to go onto the PTS, make a necromancer, and punch a few people... see what happens. Don't know if this glitch was on Live or PTS specifically, but I'm definitely not testing on the former!

Back from the PTS. They haven't taken anything from my character besides the gold that I owed (and stolen items).
However, I noticed casting multiple 'Criminal Act' necromancer abilities in town didn't cause a reaction/bounty, either, so...?
I punched a few people, stole a drink, that got my bounty. But summoning skeletons, or using Vampire abilities? Nothing.
So I don't know about the original bug this thread was about.. maybe it's only on Live, or maybe it's fake. But..

I thought you were reporting it happening to someone else, not yourself? If this happened to you, could you provide what platform/server you were on, your location, what you were doing before the bug happened, that sort of thing?

Anyway, I tested this one live and on PTS, with about 30 different attempts, and could not replicate this with the information that has been provided. A friend of a friend attempted this 122 times, similarly without replicating this.

Please understand that I do not disbelieve you, but there is simply not enough information here for ZOS to begin investigating the bug - or for any other players to attempt to reproduce it.

• Which server was the player on?
• What zone were they in?
• Which town?
• What did the player do to accrue a bounty?
• Approximately how big was their bounty?
• What heat level were they at?
• Did they voluntarily approach a guard to pay the bounty, or were they grabbed?
• Did they attempt to resist arrest, use a leniency edict, or anything other than immediate payment?
• Did they type /bug in game as soon as this happened, allowing a report to be made to ZOS with their exact location?
• Were any of those inventory items transferred from another character?
• Were any of the Dungeon sets within their 2 hours when they are tradable within the Dungeon group?

Clearly this is not a common bug because other players have attempted to trigger it without success, so learning as much as the above information as possible would really help us pin it down, so we can advise other players of what EXACTLY to avoid doing while ZOS work on fixing it.
