So who here has ran through Stone Garden and transformed into a werewolf behemoth as a vampire!?

Just wondering, because for the first time vampires are able to canonically take up the form of a werewolf. Though in this case its a werewolf behemoth by means of an alchemical reaction. Though the vampire doesn't gain true lycanthropy as it isn't a lycanthropic transformation. Its the closet thing we have to werepires! So I decided to make this poll as a way to celebrate this. So have you gotten to it yet or if you have not are you planning on doing so?

You know Vampires can use the Ring of Hircine in Morrowind, this is just a shapeahifting potion.

I have not played much of Morrowind. I do know that the Ring was able to shapeshift a person including a vampire but I don't know if that got patched out and fixed by Bethesda. I think I read somewhere about Bethesda at a least fixing that in one edition of Morrowind. I think a bug that allowed for that was fixed at one time. But the Ring of Hircine would be another method and not sure if that got fixed by Bethesda at well. Though thank you for reminding be about the Ring of Hircine because I completely forgot about that.

I have and it was really fun.

It is not connected with being infected with lycanthropy and it is completely irrelevant if you are vampire since the effect is completely artificial and temporary chemical effect on body. I would not connect it with were-vamps in any way.

Since it is not infection in any way, being vampire is irrelevant.

No I refuse, the one in canon chance of being a werewolf and a vampire at the same time because this isn't Underworld.

It was honestly confusing, but there is enough lore written down to make is possible. That being said, I didn't want to become some mangy mutt but the final boss on vet kinda necessitated it so I drank the potion.....

I played on pts already and it still annoys me. Sure it's possible but it trivialized the strongest werewolf form.

Where's our vampire lord potions?

I have and it was really fun.

It’s funny I can tell you guys are not from the early years we used to be able to have vampire and werewolf at the same time it was a bug/exploit but players would pop bats back when ultimate was generated by crit and then bar swap in to a WW so for the seconds you had left on your bats you could be a WW inside a bat cloud.

I do remember it, I even knew how it could be done without looking it up how to do that exploit it was rather obvious I never really did the exploit to become both myself.

Basically it had to do with the disease sanies lupus or the vampire disease being able to expire. That was the key to doing it.
It use to be after seven days the disease itself would expire but do to coding the quest would not. Only reason I'm saying this now is because they fixed it and you can no longer do it and if you do the werewolf transformation won't work.
I knew this was how it would be done or how it was done because I had a werewolf or vampire quest and I took a break and came back to that character having not finished it the disease was gone but the quest still there.

So that is how I knew about this little trick and if you had the one quest no disease to back it up and prevent you from getting the other disease then obviously you could get the other disease and become both because the other disease buff isn't stopping you anymore as it is the quests and not the disease that give the actual skill line. That is the reason why they took out the expiration date on the diseases. So it sticks with you until you got the Arkay priest or do the quest to finish the transformations now. So they put in some simple fixes to prevent it.

I don't think we will ever see that happen. I really think they did the whole Behemoth mechanic because they needed a cool idea to do for the new dungeon. Given they decided on alchemicial transformations. In order to explain it they had to create new lore for it. As much as you might think it trivializes it. It was the devs really exploring something new to do and they created lore doing it.

The devs will often do things people don't like, but its in their creative freedom to do it since Bethesda seemed to allow them to do this as a dungeon mechanic.

I'm not denying that they're free to do so, but I don't have to like it. To clarify I only hate the lore part, I love playing as a behemoth in every way.

Im surprised I'm the only one who hates it apparently, oh well. But can you imagine the outcry if it was a Vamp lord potion though?
