Coward's gear new "activation" sound is too loud!

What is up with this? If Coward's had a sound before it was not noticiable, as I keep my FX and interface sliders around 20%, as I don't like loud FX. This sound is VERY noticeable, to the point I thought it was leaves underfoot or the ocean waves!

Is this sound really intended to be so loud? I love Coward's for farming, but if this keeps up I'll have to trash the set.

    The bigger issue on coward gear is now, that it over and over activates-and deactivates again while sprinting.

    So when doing a farmtour and you sprint (sound appears) and you pick up a node (sound appears) and you start to sprint again (sound appears) drives you crazy after some time. -This- have to be fixed ^^

    I've never minded how Coward's gear works, and it's still fine in FUNCTION... what's not ok is this sound. While I understand why the devs shifted from the "always on" presentation, the sound trigger both ON and OFF is just too much. As @RealLoveBVB poitned out, using Coward's for farming meas it activates and deactives several times per minute, which is far too often for a sound trigger.

    The sound has not changed at all - it was always there.
    But because of the bug fix they changed the on/off logic and now the sound is played multiple times.
    I would guess the visual sparkles are enough and they can disable the sound at all.
    As a non-pet sorc since 2016 the U46 Patch Notes sound like: "Those who do not wish to interact with the pet gameplay can now replace this skill line eso as a whole."

    You can go to the Settings/Audio and turn the Effects Volume slider all the way down.

    They could just enable the sound when the gear is equipped and keep it's updated functionality.
    Problem solved.

    Is this is issue totally ignored? Can we have disabled FX from this set or any other solution? I run with very often and it can trigger sound every time when I stop running for fracture of second. It's really unpleasant for ears when it triggers couple times in a row.

    Pls, I beg for fix :P

    Hmmm. I wonder if this is part of the same thing I've noticed since Markarth dropped - where the sound of rushing water is much louder than it used to be. All my sound settings are the same, including my headset volume.... but damn, the water makes SO much more noise now....

    YOU could read my post and see that my FX slider IS already down and Coward's is STILL too loud. I mean, assuming you'll allow that 10% and can't hear half the sounds I DO want to hear low enough.

    Yeah, and what's the point of hearing "swoosh" once and never again? I don't like that there's 2 sounds every time I stop to harvest a plant, but my dedicated farmer never takes Cowards off. Ever. I'm not sure why the set needed a trigger sound at all, but fine, could it not be super loud?

    Again, my FX slider IS down, and I can barely hear some FX that I DO want to hear, and Cowards is STILL too loud.

    Update: After testing by turning off each audio slider (set to 0) and reloading, Coward's Gear proc sound is *not affected by any slider* other than master volume on/off.

    What is the point of allowing players to adjust the mix, if set procs are outside this system! PLEASE put proc sounds into FX - where they belong!

    This *may* be an artifact of gamepad ui, but it would be nice to have it fixed. Like it would be nice to have all the ui updates that keyboard gets.

    I stopped using coward's gear on my speedy toons. Adept Rider is a way better option now. The speed buff works without sprinting and even when swimming.

    Jailbreaker + Adept Rider + swift jewelry + steed mundus + CP (Steed's blessing star) = you are pretty much at speed cap without even sprinting.

    I'm probably stating the bleeding obvious here, but do you have greymoor - Ring of the wild hunt is a game changer, and renders sets like cowards gear pretty useless. I used to run it on several toons (including mag toons, run speed is so slow) and yes the sound was annoying. Nice thing about ROTWH is that it's always on, sprinting or not, including in stealth. It's brilliant for farming. With the cp star for +20% run speed, you're reg run speed is like 172%, and sprints well over that. If you want the stam regen, I'd suggest jailbreaker (banished scells). Gives you minor exped - another 15% - plus nearly as much regen.

    Why yes, I DO have greymoor. I've used Cowards+Darkstride+Wild Hunt since about a week after release. And that's a rather long paragraph for "stating the bleeding obvious"

    I'm finally spending the transmutes to rework my farmer. Rather unhappy that I have to grind more gear for a farmer because the Audio team won't let us actually set sounds to proper levels. With 3 PvE tanks, 2 PvE healers, 4 PvE DPS and 6 PvP toons, I already grind plenty of gear. All my transmutes are spoken for, probably forever. Having to use them on my FARMER is outrageous.
