Thinking of buying greymoor, does it worth?

Hey,
i found Greymoor for really cheap and i am thinking of buying it. Does it really worth it? Does it include anything else, worth buying it for, besides the Antiquities System?

As with all things, you'll find mixed views here, ranging from "It's the best chapter" to "It's the worst chapter" and everything inbetween. The main thing it has, of course, is new content but again people will hold different views on that. If it's really cheap, what have you got to lose from buying it and forming your own opinion?

it's the worst chapter they've ever released for sure, but it's still entertaining and if you can get it on sale, i'd say get it

That's a good price. I'd say go for it, especially if you don't sub.

It is worth it if you love the franchise. It isn't worth it if you try to better the game and actively involve yourself with feedback. Maybe this is a weird comment, but it will make sense for some :)

so, i see the answers are very mixed and most of them are a "No". A simple walk in craglorn usually tells me that, the new trial is not very popular, i do not see people gathering groups for kyne's aegis in the same frequency as i see for sunspire

Even at ten bucks, its only appeal are the antiquities for your house. You can get those for free in half a year, so why bother?

There's a lot to enjoy in Greymoor. The story is interesting. The antiquity hunting is quite addictive. I am not sure of the worth of the mythical items, as I have no idea how to use them effectively. But it all depends on you and what you expect from a game. Judging from the what I see, the majority of people here would prefer Orcs must Die.

I'd wait for patch notes - if there are no fixes for two big quests and one from the main line - then no.
Otherwise - yes. Antiquities are fun (beside leveling), zone and atmosphere are good, Fennorian is hot, Blackreach is stunningly beautiful, crimson nirnoot is as annoying as it's above ground cousin, for combat adjustments I mostly don't care. Basically my only complaint is technical quality - this chapter is raw and buggy as hell.

Edit to add: ran new trial once with pug and found it to be less fun than others, but i'm comparing to pugging HoF and maybe less exotic setting plays role

Edit 2: Ok, there's a quite acceptable amount of fixes, so it's a definite YES from me now =)

For $10, sure get it. That’s the prices of a combo meal or a movie ticket.
The story is lackluster and you can see the ending and villain coming from a mile away. The new antitiquities content rewards usually consist of new funishing items for your house, 1 new reskinned mechanical Wolf mount, and new 1 piece items that have a niche use at best and get nerfed to heck at worst. The new sets from the trial are not BiS so no one is running the content often. The new zone is decent to look at, but that’s it. But for 10 bucks who cares, get it.

For a tenner, you might get some enjoyment out of it. The story isn't very good and was cut short due to it being carried on in future DLC, many bugs were introduced and Harrowstorms are not worth your time. It just feels rushed, buggy, and unfinished.

Looking forward to getting another tiny slice of Skyrim in the next DLC, let's hope half of it isn't underground.
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

    This is a fair assessment.

The story is so flat and predictable. And the lore presented in Blackreach is iffy at best.

But it looks nice, and antiquities is... Fine, I guess. (The novelty wears off fast.)

The maps have been datamined. We'll return to Blackreach, but it's a smaller area this time.

    My take on greymoor.

Very nice environmental design. (Best so far imo, theres is also a delve with an absolutely breathtaking view from a mountain) Their rock poligons have always been the weakest point of ESO, but they really made them look good in this chapter. For some reason, even some DLC rocks (Southern Elsweyr) look absolutely horrendous. (9 out of 10)

Side quests very mostly interesting, I also loved the 2 independent side quests had actually a connection between them. (8 out of 10)

I hate vampires, and main quest is all about them, and generally full of cliches. (2/10)

Blackreach is bigger, but again they put everyone in there and added a huge ass vampire castle. Way to ruin one of the most mystifying places in game. Also poorly optimized. Quests were weak. (3.5/10)

Antiquties. I like the idea (Forcing you to explore vanilla zones, more lore, more items, more furniture) however the mobile-game-like implementation is weak. (6/10)

So overall I would give it (7 out 10). Worth a buy, more so if you vampires.

Forgot to add, it is more of a trivia really but there is a delve that shows a zone that original Skyrim did not feature, with a river we saw in the Forgotten Valley in Skyrim

If you are like me and love the game - get it.

All the quests and skill points it unlocks and housing opportunities. Scrying has nice chest reveal passive.

I would tend to say no, but for 10 Euro it is.

I liked to ride around, do the delves (once), have a look at blackreach (that does not really attract me to explore it, as it is less majestic compared to skyrim, instead you quickly get lost among all the tiny rocky pathways).

The harrowstorms have a terrible droprate of the region specific furnishing material, so I spend an evening just maybe every 2 weeks there for distraction. Same with daily rewards, so rare that you better earn lot of money with writs and dailies elswhere and then buy those you want in guildstores.

This chapter had potential, but apart from a good looking (but for skyrim-players already known) region I see no advantages that would let me recommend it for 40 Euro. For 10 though nice to have.

(I don't do antiquities as it is endless grind and Minesweeper-like gameplay, but many love this so I will not base a recommendation on them)

i was hesitant to buy since the game performance getting worse and worse but i bought it anyway for cheap and its worth for me.

Mythics and Archeology are awesome. Blackreach looks impressive. i actually love it. The dwemer public dungeon was great and the chateau in the north looks sooo good. for the first time i wished it was a buyable house and im not even interested in housing.

Havent played the main story so i dont know about it.

Skyrim also looks good. I didnt spent much time in single player skyrim but i like it. Looks way better than Elsweyr.
