Deleted Character Timer

Over the weekend I decided to make my first Warden character. Two I made just didn't work for me so I deleted one on Saturday morning and one on Sunday. I logged in this morning and I only have one more delete left. Shouldn't I have at least two? I thought the timer was 24 hours?

Thanks!

Thanks. I don't remember what I named them..ugh.... I know their race, they were in the AD and that is about it. There use to be a txt file that saved this stuff in the game but I can't find it.

    Try C:\Users\(username)\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\SavedVariables\ZO_Ingame

And you should see a list of all your characters ever right after the list of guilds towards the top.

Thank you! That is the file I was looking for. :)

The timer probably only counts for when you have 0 deletes left.

Thanks for providing this. When I look at this file, I see half of it is old names. Is it safe to delete this file and have it be rebuilt at next game startup?

It does not, deleted an character and the counter reset next day.
It might be a bit more than 24 hours trough.
Or this might be an new bug.

I did get one character back today. Looks like it took 36 hours for the one to refresh. I guess the other one will show up tomorrow sometime if 36 hours is the time limit. Thanks for the help everyone! :)

I think the counter/timer runs from the most recent delete. So if you delete 2 in a day, it is 24 hours from the second delete, not the first one.

I would expect both the first and second deletes to be restored, then.

Just logged in and I don't have the other delete back. Should be today sometime if it follows the timer of the last one. :/

I've never tried. The easiest way to test it would be to rename the current file OLD_ZOS_Ingame, start the game and pray.
