While I'm personally not a fan of long beards and play elves mostly (who I think look weird with too much facial hair if they're not ages old, but that's just my personal opinion), I think it would generally be nice to have a broader variety. In the old thread, someone wrote: "From asyrrian style beards a dwemer fanboy might enjoy to various viking-ish style braided beards, from long celtic mustaches to various asian style beards, there is much they could do!" which sounds like a wonderful idea to me.
Yes, indeed. I'd certainly prefer a well-kempt full beard for my Altmer. However, he does like to thumb his nose at Elenuume the Impeccable's assertion that "appearance is critical " in her Undeniable Truths of Attire; and having spent some years as a hermit, he could probably have grown a beard that's somewhat patriarchal! While I'm personally not a fan of long beards and play elves mostly (who I think look weird with too much facial hair if they're not ages old, but that's just my personal opinion)

Then I'll quote the most important reply by @Krayl -
I agree. I was trying to just put a normal beard on my dude but apparently whomever designed the beards has never had one.
The options go from
1. no beard
2. stubble
3. GIANT TRANSIENT FACE BUSH
4. SINISTER MOUSTACHE
5. BACKSTREET BOY

I just wish there was something like this. Something between stubble or "drawn on" beard texture and boar's nest.Spoiler
