Housing utility

I would really like to be able to have furniture or a way of interactioning with my guests.

This could be a wine cabinet that guest can take drink from or a table that guest can take meals from, that I have added to that item like a storage chest.

I would love to make my own shop with goods to sell too. This will help me sell as I sometimes don't have any way to sell things if our guild doesnt have a trader for a week.

What are others thoughts on this? There would be limitations due to the hassle of travelling to someones home and having permissions, but there are some benefits too.

On the surface the idea is great and I love it but not if it actually costs gold. If the wine, meals or whatever replenished itself after a while like the resource nodes I think it would be an awesome idea you have. Unless the shop idea is going to be really profitable and not seriously choresome I'd skip it because housing already costs enough. If it was a profitable and non time consuming shop, then yes great idea. I think like when you marry in Skyrim and your partner does a shop business from home that sort of idea could work.

Well I guess i was thinking it would be like a personal trader, you can stock up at a bank, like you would an open world trader but for people to buy from you they need to visit your home.

Not sure how practical that would be without a form of advertising so others know what I am selling/

Well there could be a handbill board in town with adverts for types of store, might work.

I want a gallery to sell fine art and a food and drinks shop for selling rare recipes or home made consumables:)

I also would like an alchemist store and a blacksmith store. I guess these things can be sold in trader but I like the idea of making a housing theme and the rp aspect of it all

In the original online STAR WARS game the housing was awesome. Highly complex, a huge selecttion of homes that EVERYONE IN THE GAME COULD SEE and enter if they had permission. It had entire CITIES you could have. There were thousands of cities. Hundreds of thousands of homes if not more. And you could put a auction vendor(s) IN YOUR HOUSE. I have a ton of them. I had a bunch of 4 story tall GUILD HOMES. No game has matched it yet. That is sad.

I have posted similar ideas before as well, it just makes sense. I like the idea of having storage be accessible by guests. Not MY storage chests, but if the just for looks furnishing ones would allow you to store like 5 items... that alone would be enough. I could re-stock 5 useful items every day.

Similarly, Ive asked to be able to place consumables in my home. I would like to place potions and such on our large table for anyone to come and grab. Why use a furnishing space on a fake potion bottle... I'd rather just place the real thing!

Housing has so much potential. Any other additions to make me feel like I truly need to "manage" my guild hall would be superb.

If we could have a drop down list for friends/guildies that shows each individuals houses, and could port to any of them they have set to visitors instead of only the primary, that would be nice.

I know there is an addon that kinda does this but the issue with the addon is it shows a list of every single house in the game, not just the ones the particular person has, so you have to just hit the house you want to port to and hope they have it. If they don't then pick another person and try that house again. And again if not. And again if not. Etc. Annoying tbh.
