An average of 68k an hour? That's a yikes from me, Cap. Just goes to show PvP'ers have the patience of a God when it comes to leveling, as well as shows how much ZOS doesn't love them. PvE'rs like myself are extremely spoiled.

    In PvP:
I do a BG or Cyro quest, I get 2k AP when handing in the quest.
If I win a BG in 1st place, I get about 16k AP.
If I capture a Keep, it can vary based on how long it's been attacked/defended, but "big" ticks take a looong time.
Kills yield about a few hundred AP on average from my experience in Cyro. 0 AP on kills in BG's.
Double AP events happen maybe twice a year tops. Only source of increasing AP gains is through the 2 yearly events or killing a WB for 10% extra AP, I think?
PvP content that increases longevity and replayability to make farming AP feel less of a grind is released every...? Kappa.

    And then there's PvE:
The number of quests I can do for levels is tenfold that in PvP.
If I do a quest, like a Pledge, I get about 18.5k XP.
If I complete a random normal/veteran, I get about 33.6k XP (about 101k if it's the first one of the day). Both the BG random, and Imperial City dailies give XP instead of AP. Big Brain Logic.
Kills yield a few K of XP on average from my experience.
Multiple Double XP events throughout the year. Sources of increasing XP gains can be crafted via 50%, 100%, and 150% XP pots, in addition to the overly "generous" amount of XP scrolls players get from Login rewards and horrible Crown Crate RNG. The double XP from events stack with the XP from scrolls/pots.
    Enlightenment XP gains.
PvE content that increases longevity and replayability to make farming XP feel less of a grind is released every quarter.

The PvP'ers that reached Grand Overlord before BG's became a thing, and when Keeps, Farms, etc. gave about half the amount of AP they do now are the real Heroes of Tamriel. I'm an achievement *** and have all the BG achievements, but you'll probably never see me get a GO any time soon. The grind is real.

Had a guy in our guild hit GO doing only wall repairs a year or two ago, but he wasn't under level 50. Had a very similar build as you. I think you both are a bit crazy though, whoa.

What I find interesting is that you achieved Grand Overlord without doing 5,000,000 points of damage, or healing 5,000,000 points of damage. I hit both of those achievements on every character I PvP with before I even attained the rank of Sergeant.

Maybe I'm not reading the post correctly, but it sounds like he did this only by repairing walls and doors, and I don't think those count as healing.

Yes, the achievement requires healing "allies" (including yourself.)

You can certainly buff the amount you heal walls and doors per kit with passives, gear, and skills, which the OP certainly did to achieve an average of 117 per kit. But even at such a high rate of heal, it would still take over half a million repair kits to reach Grand Overlord rank 2.

r3mind's achievement has inspired me to do the same.

Well I like fishing - so another long grind is not a problem.

But I've hit a snag - I'm stuck on Major rank 2. Rank points 0/774400. Currently level21 in Icereach.

What ever I do, Scouting Quests/Defence ticks/killing players/or repairs, I get AP and XP. My inventory shows nearly 5.9M AP, but for the last two weeks non of my AP has advanced my AvA Rank.

It's a character specific problem as all my other characters' rank does advance with AP gain.

Has anyone found a limit/cap on your AvA Rank depending on your character level?

    I would appreciate anyone's advice?

    Thanks.

Thats because alliance war rank is somehow capped to level, you will start getting ap towards your rank again oncr you level up to lvl 22.

I can confirm that Alliance War Rank is limited/capped to character Level.

Took my level 21 through two PvP Delves until she was level 22, and now she is gaining Alliance War Rank with AP.

Minimum character level for Major Rank 2 is level 22.

Does anyone know the minimum levels for the other ranks?

    Thanks.

My only question is what's your basis to claim you're are the world's first under lvl 50? Is there an actual hall of fame records list directly tied into the game's system to track or just haven't seen anyone also claim it yet ?

I do not think r3mind ever said they were the first to do this.

It's an unusual achievement, quite challenging - in a non-combat way, which I am trying to emulate.

No skins, no costume, no hall of fame records, no leaderboard - just a personal challenge.

It looks like the lowest character level this can be achieved is level 49, as the Alliance War Rank is capped to character level.

    Have fun and stay safe

You're not the world first "grand overlord" under 50

Ive seen quite a few being under 50 during the first 2 years of the game when i was really active in cyrodill

I'm going to contest this as your memory is a bit faulty. The first GO of any level (Crystalized) did not reach that level until early 2015 or roughly 10-11 months after the game was released and he certainly wasn't under level 50. It was weeks later before a second player reached GO and they certainly were unicorns in the first couple of years. Also, during the first 3+ years of the game, offensive AP ticks were half of what they are now (as was AP from player kills and quests, although I doubt both of those factor into play much here). Granted, there were some insane defensive ticks back in the early days; but low level players weren't incessantly repairing walls in maxed out healer gear while seeking out ticks without combat to reach GO status.

    Hello

No Faction Swop used. I really look forward to Level 10 on a new character to start the Intro Quest and PvP. Although I usually leave any new character in the stables for a month to improve riding speed.

It turned out my problem relates to a minimum character level for each Alliance War Rank. It's set within the game.

So in my case for Major Grade 2 - the minimum character level is 22. I was level 21 and as soon as I levelled up to 22 my AP gains started to re-apply to Alliance War Rank. It was 0/774400 and it's now 93160/774400.

This personal challenge is a 'one off'. It's not my normal PvP. Last night I was on another character - DC for a change - and she is Sergeant Grade 1 at character level 49. She might achieve Sergeant Grade 2 by the time she hits CP level and joins the 'grown ups'.

So to be clear, set bonuses and passives that increase "healing done" increase how much you repair a wall per attempt and therefore boost the AP per attempt? Huh. You learn something new everyday.

Congrats seem to be in order. This reminds me of the dude that had like 18 Master Anglers. haha

You still get the same amount of AP per wall or door, you just get it a lot faster and use less kits. The Blessing of War, Home Keep Bonus, Enemy Keep Bonus, and the Low Population Bonus, as well as Pelinal's Scroll will buff the amount of AP you can get per wall or door.

In addition to the buffs the OP mentions, Argonians also get a racial bonus to healing done.

So the total per attempt (i.e. I use one kit and do one repair) does go up, but if I were to repair a wall from 0-100 (all else equal) it doesnt actually get more AP out of it. Interesting. Almost makes me want to carry a repair loadout during MYM, but then I remember that I would rather watch paint dry than repair walls in ESO. Haha

A basic repair of wall or door gives about 50AP per kit - 90 gold. The lowest I've seen was 52AP.

If your faction holds 'most' keeps it goes up to 69AP. Plus 1AP per keep - base level.

Then there are bonuses to add including any 'healing done' sets you might be wearing, race bonuses, and any PvP bonuses. Note that you will use less repair kits per wall/door as each kit 'heals' more.

Just after reaching level 22 - had to complete two delves - my next single wall repair kit gave 127AP. Found one unrepaired wall and it gave 4.1K AP. So less kits and more AP.

This is very unusual gameplay. Not my usual play and a 'one-off' on this character. I'm just doing it as a challenge to see how far I can get in Alliance War Rank in Icereach.

Yes, I agree, doing this is worse than watching paint dry - much prefer fishing - have 3 master fishers and working on my 4th.

    Have fun and stay safe.

It sounds like you got the defensive AP tick while repairing the wall. If you have outgoing heals combat text turned on in your settings, you will be able to see how much damage you are repairing per kit in green numbers.
