    Give? Give! Give?

Your Question should be, "Why doesn't ZOS sell us more Chests?"

Which of course is answered by:
Because lack of adequate storage is the primary driver of ESO Plus sales.

However if they added a new storage chest to every new system they would drive the sale numbers on new content.
A new storage chest in antiquities? Why not?

Completely irrelevant for someone who is already subscribed to ESO+.

I, too, think that they could sell/offer more. It were 6 so far, right? 3 small ones, 3 bigger ones? I've got 5 of them already (through master writs), and the 5th is almost full... Wouldn't mind if they'd set the maximum to 8 or 10.

There are 8 currently available in total (this is the same as when these launched in 2018). 4 large and 3 small from the different vendors (writs, tel var) and one small that is part of the level up rewards.

I have ESO+ and all the storage chests. This is not enough storage. I hate having to switch to characters to look for things, it takes forever and I have 9 characters. I'm sure PC has add-ons to log items but console doesn't.

I don't see why I can buy additional character slots and pay to increase their capacity when they could just sell me storage chests for the same price.

I'd happily buy crowns for more convenient storage space.

Because this is not a way out of the situation. There are too many sets now and there will be even more and the meta changes at times unpredictably.

Weren't the one you got as a reward identical to one of the small chests you can buy?

There's no rule in the game that says you have to keep every 5-piece set, @Oingloin and @BrownChicken

Start doing some housecleaning on the sets you don't need (or at least the off-trait pieces you don't need).

Yup, it's a small 30 slot chest like the other 3 that you can buy

Anyways, I'm up for more storage :p

If we are just storing the sets do we really need them?

I realized long ago I was storing gear I had never used and would likely never use. I started keeping some weapons and jewelry of some sets and decoding the rest since they were really just junk.

AFAIK, the one in level up rewards is not available anywhere else in the game. Since all of the 4 chest variants have similar names, though, it's easy to confuse them.

To the people with ESO+ and all the chests. What do you guys store there?
I have both options and my fully upgraded bank is at 70% capacity, and I have 2.5 large chests filled. I have 9 toons as well, none of them is a mule.

Have ESO+, have all the chests. Usually keep about 20-30 spaces in bank free through routine cleanouts. But I would definitely buy two more large chests.

Pretty much. They could give me 1000 slots per character and in the bank, and I'd still run out of space because keeping it "just in case" is in many cases easier than sorting and getting rid of what you don't need.

Temporarily: Stuff I didn't have time for yet (master writs, treasure and survey maps). Other than that: Style pages, a few disguises, some set items.

I use 4 of the chests (1 60 slot, 3 30 slot) for treasure maps and surveys.

The other four chests are all storage for excess housing items. *rolls eyes at self*

Being able to upgrade chests would be a blessing.

I think a lot of us use that option, which definitely is useful. To a degree.

The only catch with it is, any items you dump there (or in another house) to be stored are not accessible through the Housing Editor interface.
Items in your bank, the inventory of the particular character you are logged-in on, and the storage chests in question are accessible.

If additional storage chests won't be an option, it would be nice to have access to all of our furnishings regardless of where they are stored, just to save the hassle of traveling all over the place to retrieve them when we want to place them.
(like the Retrieve tab in the housing editor, only expanded so that we can pull from our other houses and characters.)

Heh. I also use the Grand Psijic Villa, the Lunar Something-or-Other house (the free one from the Elsweyr main quest?), Black Vine Villa, Gardner House, and Amaya Lake Lodge for storing furniture. What doesn't fit in the storage houses goes in the chests.

More storage chests would be nice. A bank upgrade would be welcomed as well.

8 chests may sound like a lot. But they fill up fast, especially if you play multiple roles on a character.

You know i was thinking about this from the perspective of a question i asked the other week.
About how to store furniture as i'd filled 2 chests with gold/purple items already.

Some said the way to do it was a 2nd house and just place the furniture random until required.

Now thinking about it, if alot of people are doing this, then doesn't that use more server space having the items "out" as it were rather than in a list form in a crate??

The moral of the story is some people would like more storage. With saving valuable gear for 18 toons, furnishings collected from lux, antiquities and crafted, motifs, recipes, and other stuff saved from events for future sales, treasure maps, surveys, there are tons of stuff people save for various reasons. There are many ways they can increase storage providing performance isn't affected.
    1. Up bank space via a crown store upgrade or a free upgrade.
    2. Sell more storage chests or up the capacity of existing ones from 30 and 60 to 50 and 100.
    3. Offer more personal inventory upgrades.
    4. Sell a furniture warehouse that works like a crafting bag.
While in that subject. Allowing us to deconstruct crafted furniture that return ALL mats will allow us to simply deconstruct all extra furniture thus saving space.
