We know ZOS can make performance much, much better with a single maitenance as they did for the MYM event.
Why can't we get performance as good as we had during the MYM event at all times? Why are we forced to endure performance that ZOS KNOWS they can make better with the flip of a switch, but they CHOOSE not to.
Why does ZOS do this to their customers?

Profits before performance, it's that simple.

I guess I should have pointed out that "why?" was a rhetorical question. We all know why at this point. Anyone who's been around for more than a year has seen first hand why performance is so bad. (profits before performance at every turn is why)
Not sure what OP expected to change since the last time Rich spoke on the subject and acknowledged there is an issue. It has only been nine days.

I think the OP wants to know why the performance in Cyrodiil was better during Midyear mayhem with all 3 alliances pop-locked than it was just after the event with all 3 alliances at 2-3 bars. TBH I would like to know too because it doesn't really make much sense... but it's definitely how it was!
I've seen forum post saying it was the lack of ball-groups & greater amount of pugs but that's not how my experience was. I saw the same guilds/ball-groups rolling around during & after the event. I saw huge fights with more players in one area than I have seen in years during the event with much less performance issues than directly after the event.
Was it ZOS allocating extra hardware/resources during the event & taking it away again after the event? Is that what you mean by "Profits before performance"?

“Money, it’s a gas / Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash.”
Enough servers to handle the load costs more moolah. I expect the folks who make the budget decisions and make the Big Bucks care little about gameplay and more about “doing more with less.”
