Psijic Senche - ruined by armor

Yet another mount that I WOULD have bought had I not been forced to look at its armor / blanket / whatever.
I get that a mount needs a saddle. But ZOS... PLEASE look at your older ones. Look at the Dro-m'Athra Senche, the Doom Wolf, the Clouded Senche-Leopard. In their natural state, these beasts show only a saddle which allows the beauty of that mount to be seen in all of its glory!

SO many mounts that I've seen come through the Crown Store now that I WOULD HAVE bought had I been given the option to remove that god-awful armor. Take the Psijic Escort Charger, for example. I will never ride it even though I own it because you hid that glorious coloring behind what I see as ugly armor. Though that mount would be beautiful with only a saddle.

Please, PLEASE discuss either providing more of these mounts with little / no armor or... better yet... providing us with an option to show/hide the armor. Some of us want the beast to show more than the gear it might have worn.

For starters I agree. I much prefer a simple mount saddle vs blankets and such. Especially when they cover up the cool feature of the mount.

Secondly... this could all be solved if they introduced mount armor as its own thing. It could have stats that increase stamina, or speed, or carry capacity. Then we can select from a variety of styles.

I had the same reaction when they released the horse. I know that was a freebie from the Summerset event so no one was paying for it, but even so it seems contradictory to make a mount where the theme is that the animal itself has a cool glowing pattern and then to cover so much of it up with a generic blanket.

It should be one or the other - either the mount itself is the interesting part and then the tack should be minimal to show it off, or the tack is interesting and placed on a generic animal.

An alternative (and IMO better) option would be a system where we can customise the tack on our mounts, so each player can find a combination they like but I imagine that would be a lot of work. Especially since I think currently the mount and the tack is one item, they're never shown without it even in concept art so I suspect seperating the two would require remaking all of them.

Yeah, I really don't like the tack on the psijic mounts. It's why I never grabbed any. I think @Danikat is right, there's too much fighting for what's actually on display. Some of my favorite mounts work because they follow that principle. Example: New Moon mounts, interesting armor on simple black animals.

It's a nice mount, I did pick it up but would prefer if they enhanced the FX and also made a more subtle armor as others have stated.

Well, this is the only psijic mount that was ever for sale. The charger was free from the Summerset event a couple years ago. Unless you're referring to the exemplar mounts, which were in crates.

I just noticed a feature while perusing the menus, trying to change the color of friendly/hostile AOE.

You can hide stamina, speed, and inventory mount-upgrades (and gladly so, since I don't want my wolves majestic faces to be covered by leather armor). So... why not add an option to hide the saddle entirely???

I would personally love to ride a wolf without a saddle, it makes it feel/look more wild and whimsical. And if its something like the exemplar wolf? That would look incredible! Any of the translucent variants, or glowing marking variants, would look amazing without a saddle.

Please, give us an option to hide saddles, similar to hide helmet and hide mount upgrades.
