Any idea what the maximum skill points you could reach would be?

I'm curious about this between skyshards, quests that raise skill points including dungeon quests, raising alliance war rank if you brought in all game content does anyone have any idea what the maximum amount of skill points anyone could earn is?

The General Skill Points section seems a little careless. I don't think one can really get all the skill points suggested there on a single character. And does Alliance really offer 50 skill points or 49? But on the whole that looks like a great list.

I had no idea Southern Elsyweyr gave so many skill points. Maybe I should do the story some time.

Unless your character predates Morrowind the total of 129 is correct, it takes into account that the chapter starter quest skill points are mutually exclusive. Also it is 50 for Alliance, you start at rank 0 not rank 1.

If you are on PC install Ulrich's skillpoint finder addon. It's really great.

The max level template on PTS comes with 199 skillpoints

I had the same thought and went through adding up the totals myself, but the total displayed at the bottom does take into account that some are mutually exclusive. If you add up every single skill point on there it's over 460, so the 455 total is allowing for the fact that you'll miss some.

(A helpful addition to this addon would be a way to mark ones which are impossible for that character to get, but I'm not sure if that's possible to determine through the API.)

It's not "annoying". It's the (small) price to pay for not indulging into evil and for saving Valaste.

Correct ... but Urich's total includes the skill points from the tuturial quests if you take a closer look (though that's not many).

For some reasons, the storry DLC give 8 skill points from the main quest while chapters only give 3, granted they have more skyshards and two public dungeons.
I guess this dates back to TG and DB having skill lines and new passives so they are skill point heavy.
They simply continued this with clockwork city.

It's actually 3 skill points less than the Urichs skill point finder says is possible....because we can't start a character in summerset, vvardenfell, skyrim etc, and we can't do both eidetic memory and get the 2 skill points instead of accepting eidetic memory. (I'm saying the term eidetic memory incorrectly most likely, but it's where you decide if you want to be able to remember all lore books you know or just take a couple skill points instead, in Eyevea)

So it's somewhere around 452 skill points a person can have.
