Grundwulf should be a stamina set only

first off this monster set has a worse 2-item bonus than a 5 item set. which is weird because almost every monster set final item bonus is better than most 5-item bonuses. its a worse bloodthorn touch, by a lo. you need to critically strike. and the resources are like half in total.

thematically it makes sense if this set was a stamina dps set. its such a waste for a great dungeon tbh I love moongrave but that set is just not that good.

    Theme wise all the following things makes sense:
    Defile
    Resource drain
    Resource restore
    Dmg shield
    Health drain
    Health restore
    Fire damage set
    Magic damage set

    We already have *** tons of damage sets of all kinds (but lightning &frost) so I think making one proper resources based headgear (there are non others) is entirely ok.

    You mean big bad vampire that got magical powers after drinking dragon blood, who use 2h but at the same time drain hp, summon blood monstera and use teleports to move at his arena? Yeah, sounds like only stamina set, definitely

    Or the set can remain a hybrid one, and they can rebuff it back to where it was before Greymoor since they've finally nerfed the stragglers mythic item...

    What you don't get is that he was a vempire BEFORE drinking the dragon's blood.
    I mean, really: does having him travelling with vampires and drinking blood not ring any bell to you?

    I use this set most of the time on my Stamplar, and I think it's great. Of course a little less shiny since it was nerfed (for no good reason whatsoever), but I need the 1pc bonus, and the 2pc bonus matches my playstyle most of the time. Running in dungeon groups without healers, and very few shards/orbs and such - it's a very good help.

    I would like to see the original 2pc bonus returned, of course. But it's still good enough for me to use. I use Selene when people expect me to do it, but I get a bit too low on crit then. I use Warmachine and Deadly as other sets, if anyone wonder about the low crit.

    This set needs "excel balancing" based on amberplasm. It is underwhelming right now

    They should change the set to have a 2piece bonus like extra bleed dmg or sth. It doesnt help with sustain either as it is now. Total trash.

    This. It was established that compared to many resource based sets, the nerf to this set was unjustified. Even more so since a few other outlier resource sets, like Bloodthorn, got a buff.

    I wouldn't put it past them, arch-mage got nerfed into uslessness after all.

    I've been trying to get the helm for my hybrid. I would rather it remained a hybrid piece.

    Did a few dummy parses yesterday, wearing Warmachine, Deadly and Grundwulf/Selene. Nord Stamplar in 6 medium 1 heavy.

    Both sets gave me DPS of 64k (no need to comment on the numbers, I'm not good at keeping up rotations), mostly Grundwulf came even out on top - it did 5 times out of 6, actually. Crit on that build is pretty low, so any additional one is probably for the better. Might add that the difference was between 2 and 3 digit numbers, so nothing noteworthy really.

    But to the point, anyone who says Grundwulf "sucks" must not have tried it, or play in some different way. Because with Grundwulf my sustain is 100% chill, all the time. If I wear Selene, it's more like - happening to fire off same abilities more than once (due to lag or whatever), and I have to be careful not to run out of resources. And that's on a friggin dry dummy. Having to be a runner, block, dodge - or even refresh AOE on a boss that moves equals bye bye to keeping your rotation up without heavy attacks etc.

    it's barely acceptable on the dumny because you can keep full uptime, but in any content especially pvp you will lose much from it without a constant flow of crit possibilities. Also, 750 restore per 5 sec even at full time it's 300 recovery so you can get much more from any other set. This set was trash even before they nerfed it but now it's garbage
