Sick of ESO server issues - can anyone recommend other MMOs?

The complete joke of the latest update was the final straw, really.

Can anyone recommend any other MMOs with realistic graphics and a bit more of a grown up vibe?
That's what I liked about ESO, that it isn't as toony or "cute" as FFIV, for example. Unfortunately, I've kind of had enough of ZOS after this, but don't really want to wait till the Amazon LOTR MMO to start playing something new.

Highly appreciate any recommendations!

Just wait, imo even if this is REALLY annoying they'll fix it anyways, TESO is pretty unique tbh.

I've always really enjoyed Guild Wars 2. No server problems whatsoever and a really nice community in PvE.

Simple : their is none for the moment.
Why do you think 90% of MMORPG player base are in WoW/FF/ESO/GW2 ? Their is nothing on the market who is worth it.

WoW have his own problem, dunno for FF, Gw2 got insane lag spike in most S4/S5 map and event on boss fight now, it's horrible to play that why I come back to ESO cuz for me, atm it's just the best.

I'm patiently waiting with hope for Pantheon : Rise of the fallen.

What's taking them so long then? It's been an issue the majority of this game's existance.

New World should be in beta soon.

Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 have no issues. Even when a new patch comes out you download it and play immediately. There no downtime.

No issue ? S4 and S5 map got insane lag spike since many month now and their is no plan to fix it.

I love gw2's skill system, i just never cant get into the art style, lore and races besides the norn, which are basically nord :-)

my prediction from everything ive seen is that it will fail hard to be honest, they had to comletely revamp its identity without having the content for it...

I think Ashes of Creation seemed really promising to be honest, if the creator keeps up with his promises it will become a fine game. And, they won't have a NDA during alpha tests.

Oh yeah you are right. I remember one zone being so bad I had to stop playing it completely.

Yeah it's alright. I was playing it yesterday. I am not a fan of cooldowns at all, but it's still fun.

What's taking them so long then? It's been an issue the majority of this game's existance.

Performance has been an issue in Cyrodiil for a long time, and there's been an occasional period when one or other PC server has had extra downtime, but not markedly more than many other MMOs. LoTRO has had its servers down for much of the last couple of weeks, for example, and even worse communication over it than here.

I've been meaning to jump in and try the VR. Its downloaded ready to go. It would be for a much different experience though than what I look for here

Same opinion, since they still try to please everyone, they mess-up the 1st purpose of the game.
Now I can't see it succeed, but who know ? I wish them the best, but with all the experience I get with all these last year's failed mmorpg, it's hard to believe.

I have played WoW 2005-2012 and server issues is not high on the list of things I remember playing that game. They did not have the hardware there is today, yet the server hardly had issues except right in the day a new DLC was launched. Also, I remember playing large PvP battles without crashes or the insane lag people get in Cyrodiil. What happens with ESO for a few years is a sad joke, really. An IP that makes tons of money and has millions of subscribers can't find resources to fix big problems such as this. Only yesterday we had a very long downtime that prevented people in EU to play.
