Gardening in our Houses

We definitely need gardening in our houses. I think this would be a great feature.
But NOT LIKE SKYRIM.
Here’s my idea.

New Skill Line - Gardening
Planter - Able to plant Reagents and select Provisioning ingredients in Soil.
Compacter - Able to grind down Provisioning ingredients into Fertilizer.
Nutrient Knowledge - Fertilizer use doubles chance of successful growth.
Green Thumb (1/2/3/4/5)- Increases chance of successful growth to 10/20/25/30/40%)
Rationing - Able to use Fertilizer twice.
Harvester(1/2/3) - Doubles/Triples/Quadruples harvesting yield from plants. Does not increase chance to yield.

Mechanics
1) You must visit the garden once a day and water the plants with 3 Leveled water.
2) Base chance of growing a plant - 5%. With all perks - 80%
3) Fertilizer is very important. You can mush all FOOD provisioning ingredients into Fertilizer. No difference if you use purple ingredients. Plants won’t grow with out it. If you’re lucky enough to find GUAR DROPPINGS, your success will be 100% and doubles the yield given from HARVESTER.
4) Base yield is 1 -> 3 which means with all perks you can turn 1 -> 12. With GUAR Droppings you can turn 1 -> 24! If you’re super lucky, if your Master Gatherer CP activates at this point, you can turn 1 -> 48!!!!
5) Once a plant is harvested, you must plant another reagent and do the process again.
6) You must visit your garden even if you watered. There is a chance that pests can attack the plant. This can occur once every 12 hours. If you don’t eradicate the pests, they will eat your plants.
7) Weeds can grow as well. When you visit, and weeds are present, Activate them to pull them out. If you harvest a plant that hasn’t been weeded, you’re yield will be halved.
8) Gardening Beds can be built at a Woodworking Station. Recipe for these can be bought at a Gardener. Gardeners also sell Fertilizer (500g), Leveled Water (500g/ea) and Soil (50g).
9) when you build a bed, it will hold 15 plants, and you must buy soil for it (once). 200 bags will fill it. Only one Bed can be in a house. And it is a Large Furnishing so if you have a small house, you can’t have a bed. One Per Account.
10) Clay Pots can be built at a Blacksmith Station. They are a small furnishing so they can be put into a smaller house. 15 per house/account.

Actually, personally, I would prefer a simpler approach. But being able to grow plants in your home and harvest them would be a nice feature, yes.

    Gardening - yes.
    Chances, weeds, pests - no.
Daily watering - god, please, no, that's like riding skill, and I've had very enough of this

This. General idea? Awesome, take my money but being forced to login every few hours... God please no, I play ESO because it allows me to go weeks off without any consequences, don't turn it into some sick grind game. I understand OP wanted to make it as a stand alone system but timers he proposes would turn this system in some browser plant game aka pain in the a.

IMHO harvesting crops every 20h would be more than enough to encourage people to login and gather plants - if you won't login you won't use full potential of your garden just like with hirelings ;)

    All other ideas look nice.

I am doing my best, but I am not a native speaker, sorry.

I swear 2-3 years ago during a livestream, ZOS said they’re working on house farming, where we can grow food and alchemy ingredients

Interesting how this did not make the cut for the list of overdue QoL improvements.

Would love to see a garden for flowers, but also for clothing plants and wood. Maybe even an ore and jewelry mine. Which we can grow/expand/level up.

Maybe this would be an awesome system to replace the in-game mail supplies with, less mail = less server strain. Would also make it more interactive.

Master writ vendor furnishing/furnishing plan - or antiquity perhaps - for a bench, where you can grow like 3 plans/day would be nice. Perhaps a unique item, a little like the storage chests (so you can't "exploit" it and have like 20 in every bigger house) would be a nice addition.

This is a good idea, but it could easily go wrong, and I see the possibility that some would go all-in and make entire farming houses, and that would of course be a problem in the bigger picture. I don't see a need personally for an entire skill line or something overkill like that. Just an item as a nice bonus and for a little more immersion in the game, and a bigger reason for you to visit your house.

2-3 years ago they said they'd fix performance, yet here we are.

Idea is awesome but please do not turn it into another daily quest routine.
