Aoe hitting you despite a obvious height difference

As of right now, I keep getting hit by jabs while im on the second floor, and the templar is on the bottom floor of a tower. I also keep getting hit by streak stuns on stairs of keeps, as im climbing the wall stairs and theyre streaking to the stairs.
