Don't accidentally attempt to load a character that is in a house :(

Made it through 3 hours of queue only to get stuck on endless load because I clicked on the wrong character.

Least my husband got his daily...

I don't think it's because you went to a house. My character is in Reaper's March and the loadscreen is now over half an hour.

I have noticed logging into a house takes longer.

I have noticed logging into a house takes longer.

I think it is because the game is checking whether it is valid for you to be in that instance or not.
And if not, it puts you back in the last valid location.

    For example:
    - You own Sleek Creek
    - Your friend owns Sleek Creek
    - While you are in your friend's Sleek Creek, you log out

Next time you log in, the game will decide that you cannot be in your friend's Sleek Creek and kick you out to a valid location.
This would be your own Sleek Creek, in the same relative position where you logged out in your friend's Sleek Creek.
If you actually do not own Sleek Creek it would try to find out where you were before you entered your friend's Sleek Creek, and put you back there.

I think the longer load time is figuring these things out. If you logged out in what the game considers a valid location, like your own house, I don't believe it takes quite as long.

If I get stuck in a loading screen that takes longer than 5 minutes, I shut down ESO, close the ESO launcher, then restart it and try again. There's no way I'm going to let a loading screen continue for more than 5 minutes.

I've been in infinite loading screens trying to log in to Vvardenfell, and then it times out then gives an error on login screen. I wonder if it steam launcher related or just one of the Greymoor things we got included silently with this patch.

You very often have no choice, with PC/EU, after an extended maintenance.

Shut it down and reopen it, as much as you like and the same thing will happen; at least until demand calms down.

The only problems I ever have regarding my houses (and it's not every day, but does happen occasionally) is sometimes leaving a house, or porting to one from an in-game zone.

Both of those "normal" situations have triggered endless loadscreens (to the point of having to use Task Manager to force-quit).

And occasionally, I get stuck, like everyone else, in an endless loadscreen while attempting to log-in from the Character Select screen.

But I have not seen a noticeable difference in loading a character who is in a house versus one who is out in the wild.
Sometimes loading to a character in a house is pretty quick, sometimes it's not. Same as for characters who aren't in a house.

If you log in at a player home, you get an additional load screen when leaving, so if load screens are long, you don't want them doubled.

Y'all need to start putting [PC/EU] in your post titles. Or at the very least, make a wee little note in your forum signature.
