Switch from EU to NA server problem

Any idea how I can join the NA server? The queue for the EU window pops up so fast I cannot select the NA server from the dropdown list in the upper left. Decided not to wait any longer for the EU server since the "30 seconds" had been over half an hour already.

@ Winstonshead: Once I hit the "Play" button the launcher automatically starts the EU login queue. When I select "Leave Queue" that window just keeps popping up immediately so I don't have time to switch to the NA server.

@ghost_bg_ESO: Tried that path and it takes me to the same launcher window as Steam and I still cannot select the NA server.

Thank you both for trying to help. :-)

Problem seems to be that we cannot leave the login queue to select a different server, which means I'll have to wait to log into the EU server first before I can access the NA server.

Hmm. I just tried EU, got the queue window, left the queue, and got the normal login screen, was able to select NA okay.

Now since that doesn't work for you, there's another possible workaround: find UserSettings.txt in the Live folder (usually in Documents on your C drive); right click on the filename in the folder, select Properties, and uncheck the Read only box.

Then open the folder in a text editor like Notepad or Notepad++, search for the line Set LastRealm. It should say "EU Megaserver". Change that to "NA Megaserver". Be sure to keep the quotes!

Save the file (which is why you have to unset Read only); right click on the file name again; select Properties; recheck the read only box. Then try it to see if that makes it come up with the NA server.

And if I was talking down to you, please forgive me - one never knows about what others know how to do!

If only we could select the server before using the launcher. :-)

Whoa now, next thing you know people will be demanding other very sensible quality of life improvements that are trivial to implement.

OP, I just had to deal with the same thing. Your fix is to kill the Internet, switch to US, reenable your adapter.

    EDIT: Clarification

Don't use the launcher - go to your install directory and run the exe (eso64.exe) directly.

Might not be able to - OP is on steam.

go at your documents folder \Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live
search for UserSettings.txt edit SET last platform.... to this
    SET LastPlatform "Live"
    SET LastRealm "NA Megaserver"
