Add a log in queue please

The last time we had an extended maintenance, and the server came back during prime time, the exact same thing happened as is happening now:

The log in server is overloaded and wont let most people in. You guys have already shown that you can dynamically enable log in queues, to be able to let players in.

@ZOS_GinaBruno If you guys know, that the most populated server is coming back up, during its most populated time frame, why cant you just add a log in queue.

This is not the first time this issue has happened, its not hard to put 2+2 together. Please read this and pass it on.

just add a lot more login capactiy
or dont end up with the EU all trying to login at the same primetime
    or...

but anything that will help costs money...

While not a fan of login queues in general I would be in full favor if it would actually alleviate things in these cases. But hey that would mean ZOS expending any time and effort on behalf of the EU server and that's never going to happen, we're their lowest priority.

And I think it would help the server actually handle the load in an organised manner. If there is no hidden queue, it means the server right now is just having all these logins thrown at it, a few stick and go through while the majority are booted due to the overload. A queue IMO would help the server actually handle this based on capacity, put the people at the end of the queue on the back burner instead of continuing to try and load them in and focus at the people whose turn it is. Seems more efficient to me. I think the current system probably results in an insane amount of wasted resources and probably has less logged in players to show for it.

This happened just recently after the maintenances that happened after Greymoor launch, exactly the same.

They shouldve seen this coming for the reasons i have already mentioned in my OP.

I just dont understand how they can have so little foresight to recurring issue.

As I said it's simple, it's really just EU who gets hit by this in these cases and we never mattered. So no matter how many times this happens they'll never expend any effort in trying to alleviate matters.

Lacking good servers, they should have added that at the very least. Or enabled them. But they never ****ing learn their lesson.

They really dont. Like i mentioned above, the exact same thing happened the last time we had such a long maintenance on EU. Literally the exact same.

Yeah, they shouldve added the queue straight away honestly.

Also EU maintenance shouldnt be tied to US timezones, just start EU maint at around 1-2am GMT, then even if you have to extend it, the servers will still come back up in a reasonable time.

They added it, and it's broken. Speaks volumes about their professionality. Or lack of.

Before at least I was getting to the character screen. Now I have been waiting "approximately 30 seconds" for minutes. I don't see this as an improvement.

    1. Not sure why are you trying to insult me, i have done nothing aganist you.
    2. This thread was created before the queue was put in place, check the original post.
    3. I have already stated that they shouldve added a queue straight away, and also that its not the only solution.
    4. Like moving EU maintenance times so we dont get the server back up during prime time

    [snip]

    Thanks.

An update.... eventually, got returned to the login screen. After attempting to login again, my "approximate wait time" is now 26min 53 sec. Super. This much better than just a loading screen.....

Now 10 minutes into a 30 second queue. I give up. If i wanted to sit and look at a never ending log in screen i'd just screen cap one and look at that and save myself a subscription charge.

Got a queue saying 30 seconds. Waited for half an hour and the timer didn't change. Logged out and tried again. Now it's 53 min, and it's not counting down.

Nice day to take off from work..

Just fyi: Queues in ESO never countdown. So basically they dont give a clue how long you have to wait in real. They also9 dont disclosure on what place in queue you are.

But as a random guess here, the queue is broken atm as its getting later and later and instead of decreasing queue length, it increases significantly. Which should be impossible given the time - EU is out of Primetime.
