✭✭✭✭✭I feel silly, but what's a Mesmer supposed to be? Google-fu only led me to an interesting article on Franz Mesmer, so are we talking about hypnosis? If so, the Illusion school IS rather underutilized in ESO.2 -

High damage what?
... In theory such class would be really awesome but on the other hand ZOS proved they would gut basic classes and overbuff this one just to sell more. No thanks.Say no to Toxic Casuals!

Galwylin✭✭✭✭✭Man what I wouldn't give to have a mesmer class like in EverQuest. I'd simply lock a whole group of mobs down as the group awaken one to kill while I cycled through the rest keeping them asleep. Pretty should that wouldn't work here but I had such a good time then. But that really can't exist in a burst damage type game. I'd like to see a bard in the game but I'm not sure besides travel speed what they could slow. It would just be stuns and that wasn't any type of mesmer I know of (didn't play one in EQ2). Maybe a stun cycle where every two seconds a stun hits for some length of time? Maybe cause mass off balance as that's as much non-stun this game could have? Dunno. Think the time of the mesmer is over.0 -
Galwylin✭✭✭✭✭Yeah I said mesmer but was thinking enchanter. Mez was one of our most used skills. Mesmer's in Guild Wars were more like dealing with speed and illusion.0
