Vivec Speed Bump

Doing crafting writs in Vivec city I can't help notice the invisible speed bump or anomaly on the dock that leads to the drop off point.
On a horse it's like the horse is jumping over some invisible object and running sometimes it's like there's some object there.
Wondered if anyone else had noticed and what it could be?
At first I thought it was my pet but I don't think so.

I haven't noticed anything like that, but then I just run to the drop-off area instead of riding there.

I’ve started noticing this again lately after a long break from obsessive writ-crafting! I’d always assumed it was some sort of slight misalignment of the pieces making up the dock or something, but I honestly have no actual idea. All I know is I try to jump over it on my mounts now to avoid the hangup :P

That bump can be annoying. Not sure why it is there. It's not the only place that has a speed bump.

There are a few ways to avoid it, but generally, staying closer to the right side of the pier and almost hitting the box near the bump tends to be reliable.

Huh I need to pay attention when I do writs. Ive been doing daily writs in Vivec for years, I never noticed it. Or maybe I experience it, but never really gave it much thought.

There's another spot like this and I can't think of where, I assume it's the same asset used in a lot of places, it is also on the dock. Whenever I runover it, I'd bounce a decent height into the air.

There's actually two speedbumps on those docks, one near the beginning, and one exactly before the turn-in coffers. If you wait long enough, you will see mounted people flying over the coffers into the water on that one. Funny as hell!

Posted about this before, some mounts like horses slow down because of those height differences, while other newer mount types are unaffected.

Yeah, and I usually try to hit it for fun along the way. I used to think you needed turn right sharply after coming up the lower ramp to hit it, but it's actually easier to hit it running straight on if you know the spot. I might need to try with a mount now.

Lol. During 6th Anniversary, all of my characters were doin’ the bump - and the first character each day usually went flying into the water...

Edit: at least it’ll be slower now that all of my alts won’t have Rapids.
