Section of web site to view builds?

TeamRodZilla
I know there are a lot more important things that are being worked on, but wouldn't it be nice if you could access build information on a web site? Have access to the inventory, the currently slotted skills and champion points, the currently slotted equipment, character sheet... stuff like that. I'm not suggesting that any of this editable from the web site, just available as view only information. It would be very helpful I think. Another nice feature to include would be to be able to share a character build with the community. I know there are web sites out there that allow you to manually enter all this information and share it, but maintenance on that is time consuming. If you make a major change to a build, you have to remember to go and update the web site.

I don't know how anyone else feels about this, but I think it would be great to have this information at my fingertips. The Halo series used to have a web site where you could track your Spartan's statistics and I believe it is still up today and shows the history of every match ever played. Maybe the Battlefield players would appreciate that. Maybe even the home campaign information would be nice to show. There is so much that could be done in this area.

Hey, Zenimax. If you need a project manager to build a team and get started on this, let me know. I think you could pay me enough to switch jobs. ;)

It's not perfect, but the closest thing we have. I know you mean actual builds people play and use. Like a presented version of their characters, but I doubt that will ever come to fruition.

doubt this'll happen officially but its probably possible to make a website and an addon/client that automatically exports that information to the site similarly to how TTC's works.

That's actually the web site I was referring to. I do use it, but it is a pain to keep it up to date.

I'm not sure, but I am thinking that you are PC-minded in this approach. It wouldn't work for consoles I'm guessing

Along with our Build Editor (https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildEditor) we also have an offline character database: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoCharData?id=14

You can use our uespLog add-on to save builds manually or save character data automatically when you logout. You can then either upload the saved variable file manually or use the included uespLogMonitor program to automatically upload them.

I've been meaning to update the documentation on the uespLog add-on to make it more obvious how to setup build/character data exports like this (will try to get it done this week).

yea I was thinking pc. For console it'd need them to expose the data in a web API. Remember some posts asking for one years ago but I don't think anything came of it.

Excuse me while I fangirl a little.
The site, the build editor, the alchemy calculator, heck, even the clock are so useful and sanity-saving. Thanks for all your hard work!

Have you seen the build summary page on ESOlogs? It tells you gear and skills, just not champion points. You can look up the top players for each trial fight and see what they were using.

For example here is the #1 DPS on Captain Vrol in public logs, a Magicka Templar:

I remember how gear score was weaponized in WoW. This just seems like asking for the same thing.
