I doubt we'll ever see the ability of buying crown items with in-game gold. Not only it would decrease the amount of real life currency injected in the game, I'm sure people would come up with all kinds of hacks and find all kinds of exploits to get more gold.

Huh? Say you trade 500k gold for 5000 crowns, then you buy what you want.

No, it means people would still buy crowns, then sell those crowns to other players for in-game gold. Just like they do now, except with a regulated trade system instead of relying on good faith, which gives rise to scammers.

Yep, "gift capsules" for crown items, ez, send in mail, trade in person, or sell in guild store, imagine the possibilities.
