There is a new exploit in game for pvp - double heavy attack for single hit,
this is a programmed script folk are buying from anonymous sources , and it is now in eso.
It also apparently has a zero fall damage code.

When you check the after death report and if you are sure that its a single heavy attack with a visual qlitch that becomes two consecutive heavy attacks,
please screenshot and report it.

How to report a cheater by InaMoonlight

1. Right clicking on their name in chat (outside Cyrodiil if they are in chat and choosing report from there)
2. Can be used easier in Cyrodiil, press Q targeting to bring forth the wheel menu, report is on there
3. You can also report them via the site here (sorry about the link length) https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/incident?fresh&session=L3RpbWUvMTU3ODg0MjQ2Ni9nZW4vMTU3ODg0MjQ2Ni9zaWQvZlVINUJVOG1hNDclN0UwQjFyZFRidkFGUGtLNEplaDkxRFQlN0VJcFRlJTdFcTFlWmczZUJIZXZCc3NyWkRGcXdoWjJ4MnoyVm50MFNmUjUxQTBhemhyODJZSlhaTWZ2dmQ1TVZtWE9rSHprVnl6dk9BemR4d1lQR0Q1VnF3JTIxJTIx
4. Should also be able to report via the ticket-sytem ingame (F1 on pc) if you can remember the full @name

If anyone has more info or have encountered these cheats please comment.

@croakie Possibly not a bug; Meteor and it's morphs have an initial hit PLUS damage over time in the area initially hit. Since you are stunned when hit it's easy to be hit for a few ticks of the AOE DOT after that too.

I found the bot they are using for this. It doesn't just do the heavy attack exploit, there is a lot more in there. Among its other features:

    - Automatically places player underground when below a certain percentage of health
    - Automatically aims at chosen target regardless of reticle view
    - No collision hack that lets you go through objects
    - Various teleport hacks

It's using memory editing, so I'm not sure why ZOS is apparently unable to detect its use.

Because ESO has never had client side cheat monitoring/detection, and as far as we know, never will.

Cheats get caught when enough people report an event that some dev takes a look at the server logs/reports, finds the inconsistencies, and then eventually works a fix into the schedule. Plus side - this means players can't "circumvent" cheat detection, becuase they can't circumvent the server. Down side - takes a long time for whatever hole the cheat is using to be plugged.

Ahh, bummer. Well if anyone from ZOS is reading this, they can google the bot author pretty easy, and hop into Discord and buy a sub to get the script. Took me about five minutes to find it.

If you find a site that sells this sort of cheat, you might consider reporting the site to ZOS so they can investigate the cheat to see if there's any way to detect when it's being used.

The only thing more pityful, pathetic than providing a cheat is deciding to use it.
Same thing goes for exploits, not a little bit less despicable than cheats.

Doing it this way is fine, with prompt attention.

For ESO, all of this delay in the process, from waiting for enough people to report it, to finding the time for someone from the ToS team to investigate, to scheduling a developer to change the game, makes for a perfect environment, in theory, for cheating and botting.

I have to think that it presents the outward appearance that the studio does not care, and that they are not aggressive about dealing with it. This means that the $10 ESO game that someone buys and uses for cheating will last for a long time, possibly longer than they have interest in the game. For the RMT people using them for farming bots, that is probably more than enough time to make a ton of money off that account before someone bans the account. ESO is like shooting fish in a barrel.

    It does distinguish them.
The initial impact is counted as a separated, single hit, the following hits are dots and therefore they show the "number of hits" on the left side of the damage count.
If you see a 3rd voice named after the spell then ye, that's a cheat.

When it comes to passing through all walls, it's easier at least. If they do it at will and you can't go through the same wall, it's probably a wall hack.

A guildie of mine was wondering about how some enemy nb's looked like they were teleporting when moving on his end in Cyro. So I put on my sneak/speed gear and and ran back and forth around him. Apparently I also looked like that for him, so it was most likely a case of Cyro being weird rather than cheating in that case. Everything looked normal on my end.

But it's rather telling for how the bad performance in Cyro can make things that are perfectly normal appear as cheats or just look odd for some players.

I don't think these are new. The double heavy attack and no fall damage cheats have been around for a while. I'm not going to name names, but I have fought people who have used both. It's also one of the reasons I don't go to Cyrodil more than I do, because I don't like playing with cheaters (and Cryodil has a lot of cheaters - especially on a certain alliance).

But I'm glad to see you bringing attention to them. Hopefully they will take you seriously. Because there are a lot of people on this board who don't think cheating is actually a real thing in Cyrodil. It is.

They get so many spammed "cheater" reports, that they struggle to find the real issues between.
I'm pretty sure they have already some logic installed that not every report is really passing a first level check and so it will never read by a real person.

So spamming reports is part of the problem...

Just my thoughts... Reporting a player who is honestly suspected of cheating is necessary and should be done each time it is seen. Assuming one cares, of course. That said, I would suggest that submitting one report per cheater is probably a good limit to consider. I would not report them every time they are seen doing the same cheat, unless ZOS comes out and says that is preferred.

I do think they have an automated system that provides a "clip level" on player behavior reports. One person reporting someone for cheating or botting is not going to mobilize ZOS. (ZOS and "mobilized"... ) I think that there do have to be multiple reports from different people about the same player before it gets above that limiter and is forwarded on. This is why I always want people to report in the forum when and where they see bots, so others can also go report them.

The above is based on comments made in here by Jessica.

Of course, this can be misused, with malicious intent, by slander campaigns against a player. I don't recommend that people report a player just because they were told that player cheats. They should actually witness the behavior, not just see the player running around playing normally. People have been banned by ZOS for doing the vigilante thing.

How sad do you have to be, to feel like you have to "CHEAT" in an MMO? I mean seriously...Skill=Time+Practice. If your like me, old and take pain meds, I can only get "so good", but that does not stop me from keep trying...If I do my very best, I am fine with whatever happens. My best is all I can do. Keep practicing, keep trying to do better, for only one reason, YOURSELF, nothing is harder or more satisfying then living up to your own expectations. Good lesson for this game, and life in general.
