Issue with a Psijiic Quest

DaTuneman
DaTuneman
Doing the Psijiic quest to close the seals, first one was for Summerset to close the Seals at Lillac Bay. I closed all 9 seals and returned to quest giver (Joesph). she issues me the same quest again? Checking my quest items I have 9 Psijiic Seals that shows I have collected all the seals. I contact support they answer is to remove all addon's. Now I'm using maybe 6 very popular addon's so I seriously doubt it's an issue. So I tried to redo the quest, abondned the quest and the problem now is the Seals are gone. I suspect because I have them all in my quest directory. Anyone agree with what I'm thinking is that I need to remove the Quest seals from my toon's quest directory? I run this game with Steam, (I know bad move) and I can't find the file that holds these seal items. Does anyone know where they are? Or am I going about this the wrong way?
Thanks in Advance

U get to run all over tamriel with your seals, doing multiple missions, always accompanied by that damn talkative skull .. are u sure u got the exact same quest again?

If u abandoned a quest, of course the items associated w it are gone.

2nd quest is Iliac bay, w 9 seals again .. glenumbra, stormhaven, Alikir.

As mentioned above, @DaTuneman, the seals are in the quest section of your inventory ... so unfortuanetely as soon as you deleted the quest those are deleted too.

Try the quest again without add-ons. You can use an online map to find the sites again.

"remove all the addons" can sometimes temporarily reset things...doesn't mean you can't restart them later.

Also beware that this questline has "9 seals that need to be closed" over and over and over. Different ones.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

I did abandon the quest, but still had the 9 seals in my toons quest inventory.

Do you happen to know where the files are located. Support told me to remove all Files iin Savedvariables and addon folders. They are somewhere in the steam files ESO support pointed me to the files in the non-steam folders. I looked for help in the steam blogs but didn't find anything.

Update, I figured this would happen. Removed all of the above addons related. Abandoned the quest, restarted the quest. Went to Illac bay the talking head didn't issue any notice of a breech near by even after going to an exact place where one was. So I took a screen shot and reopened with support.
Reminds me of back in the day, we had a IBM mainframe with EMC memory. Had a sortware problem with IBM's OS. They refused to look at it until we removed the EMC memory. Turned out not to be related to the EMC memory. These addon's on my toon were pretty popular addon's and I'm just guessing this problem would of came up before me if it was because of an addon.

Not trying to be an ***, but like said above - are you absolutely sure it was the *exact* same region? Because you get new quests for 9 seals in the other alliances´ regions as well.

Anyway, if you are redoing them I´d recommend Map Pins if you don´t have it. Should show you if they are sealed as well, I think. Might help when figuring out exactly what is going on.

What exactly does it say when you are stuck? Maybe screenshot would help?

Also note that you need to reopen the map you get in order to properly start the quest I think. You need to activate it even if you know where all the breaches are.

Right I know it's the correct map, I've done this quest a couple times with other toons. Also I did check to make sure when I ran it again that I had the map and did open it. The quest shows zero of nine breeches closed. And I did take a screen shot and sent that to EDS support of me standing on the spot where a rift is suppose to be. Thanks for suggestions I'm out of ideas.

I've done the Psijic quest line on about 20 characters. I've never seen an issue like this. Are you sure you're on the right part of the quest line?

You start with nine breeches to close on Summerset. The second part of the quest line is the breeches in the DC areas - Glenumbra, Stormhaven, and Alik'r Desert.

Third is breeches in Stonefalls and Skyrim. After that, you have the first of the Shattered Staff parts.

If you look at the map in your quest inventory section, what do you see right now?

But Summerset and Iliac Bay are two completely different parts of the quest line.

Summerset is level 1 (9 breaches)
Iliac Bay [3 zones] is level 2 (9 breaches)
Skyrim & Morrowind [3 zones] are level 3 (9 breaches)

Level 4 is retrieval of staff parts.

Valenwood [3 zones] is level 5 (9 breaches)
Blackmarsh [2 zones] is level 6 (9 breaches)

Level 7 is more retrieval of staff parts.

Rivenspire is level 8 (9 breaches)
Craglorn is level 9 (6 breaches)

Level 10 is the final encounter.

Yeah, just spitballing here (again) but could it be possible that you are technically stuck at an even earlier part of the quest than what´s in your journal? Like, if you don´t see any rifts, it seems to me the game might think that quest isn´t even started, even if it is your journal. Your journal might be an 'artifact entry'. Have you tried deleting every Summerset main quest you might have, deleting every psijic quest you might have, and then talking to Iachesis (sp?) and Celarus again?

Yeah, the way you've confused Summerset and Iliac Bay is easy to get hung up on. It definitely seems like your original issue wasn't an issue at all as you got the quests in the right order. If the quest is bonked now that's a different issue and likely could just happen to anyone who abandons the quest and picks it back up
When you say you took a Screenshot on the right position with no rifts visible, you were now in an Iliac region (Glenumbra/Alik'r/Stormhaven) and not still in Summerset, yes?
