Can we get rep/mount grinds like WoW has

I don't think that reputation grind really has a place in ESO. The closest thing we have is skill line grind like Psijic and Antiquities.

Really, we just need more mounts we can earn in game. Here's some basic ideas:
    1. Update the leveling reward to give players a choice of mount.
    2. Tie mounts to achievements.
    3. Add racial/alliance mounts as part of completing achievements for zones.

It seems like getting the undaunted/fighter/mage guild skill line to 10, does not take too long and all we have are just quests besides pve/pvp content.

It would be cool to have rep with the different factions to grind out for rewards or more interesting mounts than just a horse. It would give the game more content, also it would be fun for whatever race you pick, to work on a quest line for them to get some kind of special armor, only they could wear.

You can grind many free things in ESO. These mounts are available beyond the ones for sale at the stables for gold.

Dwarven Ebon Wolf Mount using the new Antiquities System.

The Sunspire Champion Senche-Lion by getting the Sunspire Dragonbreak Achievement.

I can add links for further information on these mounts if you wish @railsdev84

Do not forget the whole horde of indriks we have with one new version coming with each Q's events.

I do not miss the grinding of WOW by any means.

I wouldn't mind more achievement based mounts or really expensive ones but I've always been against grinding as a lazy way to prolong content that shouldn't be prolonged.

......so every single guild leveling in this game?

Just because something is long doesn't make it grinding.

Motif's require grinding. Achievements require grinding. Antiquities require grinding. Getting a set weapon to drop from a boss requires grinding.

Fighter's guild? You can go through the whole game and level it to 10 without having to spend more than an hour in any one place. Same with Theives guild, Mages guild, DB, etc.

Just because you do the same thing to level up something doesn't mean you have to do it on the same mob.

I know why they require those to be grinded, so people wont abandon the zone after a week and help fellow players kill bosses or group content that cant be handled solo. As someone who doesn't always kill all the bosses immediately it can be nice to have people help.

Eh the meaning of grinding is to perform repetitive tasks. Running dungeons over and over again to level undaunted, collecting books over and over again for mages, finding the portals (whatever they are called) for psjic can all fall into that category. This game thrives on having you do the most tedious actions with multiple characters.

There are a handful of things from WoW that I'd like to see in ESO, mainly allowing wardens to tame what ever animal they like as their companion. But grinding rep for mounts is something I don't miss at all from WoW, along with crafting and their classes.

EDIT: I also miss being able to hide shoulders on my outfits...

Agreed. Not only the ability to tame companions, but fix it so the animal companions actually TANK for you. That's what I miss the most.

I also miss WoW's transmog system.

While I'm all for more ways of obtaining relatively basic mounts I'd rather see them add unique mounts as a special HM reward for trials/length vet HM dungeon achieves. Mounts go so much more noticed in this world than things like skins/marking/titles that are hidden behind armor and quick flashes of player names.

Mounts can also serve to be very inspiring to obtain in content; many people would play through harder/more competitive content just for the chance to obtain these mounts. Imagine how many people might slave through Cyrodiil just to obtain some mount called "Reigns of the Grand Overlord" or how many might play battlegrounds because they wanted a Storm Lord mount.

I agree with more mounts for those purposes because it brings inspiration to continue playing the game for an ultimate goal; to look great on that new mount of yours. The trial mounts could easily be themed to their respective regions as well.

As for the more plain mounts I'd agree that maybe each chapter can sell us a mount specific to that region. The collectors editions would still have their value even with that as they give relatively decked out mounts. The region specific mounts could even lack the mount speed/stamina/pack upgrades traditional to all others.

why?? ESO system is MUCH better IMO. wow has no dyes, and you are limited to not only armor weight but also armor level. no such limitations in eso

Each to her own opinion of course. I had no issues with WoW's transmog system. I do have issues with ESO's as I just don't like most of the armor looks. Not a surprise - I didn't like any of the armor in the SP TES games either.

I like the costume system here - I don't really use outfits too much as none of the armor fits what I like for looks.

in that case, what you are missing is armor aesthetics, NOT the transmog system itself. becasue as far as functionality goes - ESO system is Eons above WoW.

I hope that no other game will ever follow the reputation farming system of WoW. But we should really be able to get some mount for playing this game.

Adding obtainable rewards in game isn't ZOS's style. They would rather just add them to the crown store for cold hard cash or put them in crown crates where you will never see them unless you spend thousands.

You probably don't really play WoW? Rep grinds are major PITA over there. Please, never.

(But more rewards - yeah, sure. Just no grinding.)

I played everquest 2 and warframe and I remember them both having reputation of groups so that you can change the aggro of NPCs. But helping one group will go against another and eventually you make an enemy if you make one group an ally.

This isn't WoW. If you want WoW features go play WoW.

OOOH WOOOWWWW WHAT A BUUUURNNN (lul)

yeahhhhh because ESOs approach instead of working for things in game to have everything locked behind a cash shop and rng loot boxes that cost you an arm and a leg IS SO MUCH BETTER and more consumer friendly than that stinky old wow

I mean it would be really stupid to learn and copy good things from other mmos while trying to make the game better right...
