Advice on invisibility potions

I was in Imperial City and because I am quite squishy I carry and use invisibility potions. Today there was a player who I new I didn't stand a chance against so I used a potion. Anyway, I later get a message from them saying that they had video of me disappearing mid fight and that I was using an exploit. Should I not be using invisibility potions? Thanks in advance.

They are an in-game item (and also craftable) and you are free to use them however and whenever you like. If the other person doesn't like it, too bad. They are also allowed to use potions if they desire. I wouldn't worry about it at all, as it's definitely not an exploit. Heck, Nightblades even have a skill that let them vanish.

You didn’t do anything wrong. Just a salty player, lol

Thanks so much guys. His attitude was a little upsetting. First salty player I've dealt with so guess I better toughen up! Thanks again.

Guy sounds like he doesn't have a clue, tbh xD

Khajiit likes to sneak, not fight, and the pots this one makes also have a speed buff >^^<

    As others said, ignore 'em!

Weirdly, the only time (yet) that I've had anything close to a pvp 'salt whisper' was when I was stood around in Elden Root with my Master Angler title active. Laughed at and told don't ever go to Cyro with that showing o.O K, whatever..

People are strange; just ignore them.

In other words, the other player did not have one of the many ways to detect a hidden player available.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

If that guy cried over someone using an invisibility pot i think you did have a chance against him.
That's a complaint i would only expect from a noob.

Thank you so much everyone I really am touched by your comments. I know it was probably a silly question to start with but came late in life to MMO's & PVP so it all still feels kinda knew. On the whole everyone I've met in game has been helpful so I guess that threw me a little. Anyway, thanks and if you are on the EU server and need help with something give me yell but bear in mind I am still a noob!

This guy was a bit inexperienced to say the least.

Invisibility potions are a very valid and legitimate tool in PvP. I use them all the time and I run a full blown heavy armour StamDK 2H/S&B setup!

No, there is nothing wrong with using them mid-fight. That is their most practical use: To disengage and end a fight with no deaths. Especially with a speed bonus effect too.

No potions in this game are disabled in PvP combat.

Nah feel free to use em...its their own fault if they are too dumb to relise that you can make an invis pot...
or my personal fave "nope juice"
for when you encounter a player that's 210% not gonna be dealt with today
    dragonbile+namira rot+powdered mother of pearl
for that sweet, sweet, speed, invis and vitaility..just incase they detect you.

Really? Must be a new player or something because I know nightblades have cloak, invisibility potions are amazing, and now even vampires can sprint for 3 seconds and turn invisible. It's not an exploit to use stealth.

I use invis pots all the time to troll people, they're great for negating an NB's burst too. NBs get enraged most when you use invis pot against them on another class, but everyone gets mad when you are using a tanky damage setup and pot-> full health (this patch the tank damage builds are broken). It's great comedy, esp. when you do that and wipe a zerg...
