A very concerning issue....

With the new release of consoles coming around the corner. A growing question has been arising in all zone chats and guild chats. “Will we be able to transfer our console accounts to pc?” I too have been wondering about this for quite some time. Zenimax please consider the future of the population. One way for making this become a reality, is with the account tab in the settings. By share linking accounts it could become a form of confirmation of transfer.

Can't quote a source but I'm sure they said this wouldn't be possible previously.

I'm on console and always assumed that ESO would continue to be playable on current generation console and on next gen?

Why would you want to transfer your account to PC?
Both consoles will just carry on as is, nothing changes for ESO except the hardware, all you have to do is download ESO again and log in.

I have literally never seen this question posed in any in game chat. I think a much more likely scenario is that this is a question that has been arising in SillyGT's mind only.

Seriously, the game population will be utterly unaffected by the release of the new console generation as ESO will be backwards compatible and next gen adopters will be connecting to the same servers as current gen players.

This, now the new consoles are more powerful who is likely to resolve some of the console specific issues in ESO like problems in trials.

PS4, PS4 pro and PS5 users will continue to play together. I assume you could even have an PS 5 and an PS 4 and play the game at both. Say the PS 5 at your primary residence and the PS 4 some other place like at your parents or at an vacation home the same way you can do on PC as the settings is for the device.
