Housing Idea: Guestbook

With all the new housing ideas coming in update 27 (Stonethorn), a simple, yet fun idea I had was a guestbook as a new option. Maybe design the housing item to look like a stand with the book on it. You can press "E" on a guestbook which would leave your name and possibly a short comment to let your friends know you stopped by, etc. When the owner views the guestbook they can view all the signatures/comments much like how we read through the books and turn the pages already in ESO. As a further option, the guestbook could also be customizable to let signatures/comments be publicly or privately readable.

Just an idea to add a bit more "multiplayer" interaction in the housing area of the game. :)

    I would lke this.

I would also like customisable books, in general.

So you could make menus (for restaurants), or programmes (for theatres), or guide books (for musuems/art galleries etc.), or just little storybooks, or whatever.

They could have a customisable front cover for the title and then work like regular books, in terms of how people interacted with them, with 2 or three pages of text.

They could have the language filter automatically switched on, to try to avoid people writing rude messages, but otherwise they could be fully customisable.

Visually speaking, I would make them more like a thin book, or a large booklet, rather than a regular looking (thick) hardback book, as I think that would be the most versatile.

If you could customise the colour of the cover and choose from a few different fonts, even better.

I like the guestbook idea. I know you can use "Essential Housing Tools" add-on to add a book on entry, but I don't use it because the effects are only viewable to those who also have the add-on.

I would love a guestbook but no offence to Cardi because I love EHT and can't live without it, I would prefer something more subtle and more ESO as a guestbook than the floaty and in your face EHT guestbook. In my opinion it detracts from a players house build. I think an ordinary book, open, maybe with a slight glow to mark it as different that you can put on a table somewhere and looks like a real furnishing would be better. Something that will blend into a house build and not be so in your face.

What I'd prefer even more is if it wasn't even a physical object and just a function of the house, like when you press H to go back to the start of the house. That way you see nothing but say pressing G would add your name to the guestbook for a visitor and pressing G for the owner would bring up the guestbook and entries.
