Undaunted Chest RNG is horrible, please take this suggestion into consideration

I would gladly spend 10 keys to get the set piece I want, 20 to get the weight. Right now it is absurd how bad this RNG can be. I just got the opposite piece from what I want three times in a row, one of each weight. What are the chances of that? Getting the same piece in light, medium, then heavy all in a row? This can happen but God forbid I get the piece I want.

The system is not fun, let me have the option of spending more keys to get what I want, let others gamble. It's silly. I just want to enjoy playing or testing the set I am trying to get, time-gating me is not going to make me want to play more, it is going to make me throw this game in the trash.

Don't the pledge quest givers sell coffers for the specific sets for only five keys?

Be glad that the RNG is significantly improved over what it used to be. Just FYI, we used to have to roll for the right set in the right weight and it had to be the right trait since we could not change them. That was also before the coffers were sold.

Well, the Golden has kind of established the cost of shoulder pieces in specific traits, and keys are now currency, so there should be some vague correlation between how many keys you need to spend to get to choose the gearset and trait you want.

Sadly, the reality would be that it’s a lot more than the 20 keys you’re suggesting. And if you knew it cost, say, 200 keys (40 chests) would you still go for it? That’s like 2 months of 4 key pledges... wouldn’t you rather take, say, 30 5 key gambles with a 1/48 chance of getting what you want?

ZOS’s thinking is that keys and transmute stones are what keep players doing pledges, so they’re unlikely to make it too painless.

There are some things in this game that I'm just getting really bad RNG luck.

I've been trying for a while to get heavy Lord Warden shoulders, but Urgarlag's chests are not being generous. I think I've probably opened 10 or so of the IC coffers over the past two weeks, but not a single shoulder was heavy. Even then, I've hit Molag Kena probably 7 or 8 out of those. Once I pulled three Molag Kena arm cops in a row.

I know 10 runs isn't enough to get a good drop rate, but I'd have expected at least one heavy by now. At least I can run medium/reinforced Warden shoulders, but I'd prefer the heavy.

It's also like with trying to get weapons from dungeons or trials - they only drop from the final boss, so you have to run the whole dungeon to get a chance of getting a weapon...or a jewelry. And then it needs to be the right one...

    RNG ????
I'm sure it KNOWs what you want & what you hate - and spits out the later (everytime)

No, they do not. You have a chance of one of two sets, and I have gone as many as opening ten chests without getting the one I want. That is painful.

And you still are rolling for weight and trait as well. I don't even care about that though, I would just like to get set A instead of set B without having to spend 50 keys to do it.

I don't think you're following me. I am not asking they change the current system, I am asking for the option to spend more keys to get the particular set you want. If I am looking for Grothdar and I get 10 Tremorscales in a row instead that is frustrating. Give me the option to just spend 10 or 15 keys for a guaranteed Grothdar of any weight/trait. For those who want to try their luck doing it with the standard 5 keys keep that option....you can have it.

And I have easily spent 200 keys and have a ton more shoulders I never wanted than I do the ones I was shooting for.
