My fun stamina overland healing sets were ruined.

My turn to complain :(

It took such a long time to work out which sets I could use for a Warden Bow/Bow Overland healing build. Sets that did not require 'being in a group,' because who even groups up for Dragons and Harrowstorms? No one. Not even for World Bosses in this Chapter. So, I wear Redistributor and Powerful Assault. I pop back and forth between lucky strangers using Nature's Embrace, buffing them with Vigor, Ice Fortress, Powerful Assault, the Nature's Embrace heal, all while the adorablest little Redistributor and Symbiosis heals are popping off everywhere. It's beautiful. It's a beautiful, magic, mystery light show where I zip all over the place bursting from my being green and yellow heal bombs, like targeted fireworks. It's the most fun I have ever had healing Overland content. And I guess it was me causing everyone to lag (because seriously, who else wears these weird, niche sets but me), so, um, sorry everyone? However, there's nothing for us Overland Stamina healers now. I distinctly remember, there were no other choices for me for this type of content.

Even so, I do like the change to the Redistributor heal, but now the heal only lands on myself. Powerful Assault only lands on myself. Overland Stamina healers need some love too. Where are our sets? There has to be a way to give us 'ally' rather than 'group' heal/buff sets without causing the game to explode.

I realize I am probably the only player that cares about healing in the Overland, but, still, why create tougher group encounters here (Dragons, Harrowstorms, Summerset and Wrothgar WBs) and then remove all the support sets that can be utilized for them? What's next? Vigor will be group only? Spell Power Cure... group only? Will there be any ally sets or skills left, when these changes are finished?

Honestly, neither Redistributor nor Powerful Assault would have been healing that much at all, and the buff is pretty minor for the random players scurrying around like beheaded chickens. You'll be just as fine or even better off with other sets.

Can help just as much with debuff sets like Torug's, Alkosh. Or even Ult-buffing sets so you can use barrier even more — Potentate's, Akaviri Dragonguard, Battlefield Acrobat, Hide of the Werewolf, will all help pop Barrier out, which will definitely help level 20 zone randos stay alive in dragon fire lol. Or any set that buffs heals by a % like Naga Shaman with Bone Shield, Twice-born with Healing Mundus Stone?

Don't give up, overland healers matter! There's more sets to choose from.

I will definitely look into those, thanks for listing out some alternatives! One thing I really love in Overland support sets are pretty animations. I seriously love a good light show. I like to SEE all my goodness as it reaches the people. :relieved: This is also a factor in choosing my sets and skills. It's more satisfying watching a ball of light shoot across the screen at someone, then to see nothing at all.

I believe Barrier only affects group members, though, doesn't it?

The idea that anyone would enjoy healing players who they’re not grouped with is obviously alien to ZOS.

And they’d much rather deal with the rantings of PvPers who claim healing is killing their game than accommodate the gameplay that makes Harrowstorms and Dragons actually playable.

I wonder if this means that everyone not grouped or without a purge is going to die to that funny dragon effect they stuck in there. Given no one bothers with the Northern Elsweyr dragons anyway, I guess they won’t care.

This probably sounds strange right now, but maybe people will start forming pug groups for overland bosses/events as more and more sets and skills require it. There’s just never been a need before, so nobody bothers.

Edit: I’ve seen this for Wrothgar WB’s and Alik’r dolmen loops, just not Harrowstorm or dragons.

That's how I got to learn to love Stormfist and Thunderbug.... fun to see what happens!
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Hm I thought it was any allies, but you're right that it's only group members. Warden heal ult is any allies tho right? Not as useful IMO. Maybe people should just start grouping for dragons and overland content.

Tank meta was complained about so in ZoS infinite wisdom they nerfed healing and impen now people explode in .5 seconds so I guess mission accomplished? As a pvper I'm really not happy about the change.

Actually, people are tankier than ever. Since all you need is defile to wreck a person that isn't using it, then it means you can run even more defense and push out damage. Then they released certain OP proc sets ( a trend they are continuing) that literally play the game for you for the most part. Defile, proc, wear defensive build, keep healing up, and auto-burst opponents down. Literally a summary of the patch for anyone "in the know."

Personally, when I slot damage shields its almost impossible to kill me without 20+ minimum and I still push out enough damage on a build I use specifically to highlight how stupid balance is in the game and troll. Now that I think about it, it's about time to troll BGs and quit so my rank stays low. Someone has to baptize the new players to BGs... :D
