Question about Essential Housing Tool - Is it real?

I have seen Videos about this addon and the things shown are incredible. Like adding skyboxes, animations to objects etc.
But is this real? Does this exist in the real game or is this some kind of copy version of the game that only exists on your PC?

Or in other words, can random people that enter my real house on the server see all those things? Can they see the animations and skyboxes?
This sounds like hacking to me. Can you get banned for using it, provided it is actually on the real server?

It's real and it's not hacking, you won't get banned for it. Its creator even works for ZOS now!
Well, the creations exist in your AddOn data clientside, not 'on the real server'.
Others can see your FX, but only if they also use EHT. You can't share custom FX with base game players.

But EHT has many other useful feature too, not just custom FX! Like editing tools, house sharing tools, saving your projects so they aren't lost due to the wandering items bugs, etc.

This is very insightful. I have watched until you share the effects with the guild and wanted to ask, if even people without this addon can see my effects and object movements as long as I share it with them? Or does none of this help if they do not posses EHT themselves?

This was already answered above. Even Stabby's video states in the very 1st minute that people without EHT can't see your FX. She also showed what players can see without FX, and with FX.

@bluebird She did say that. Yet I thought this only means they can still see them provided I share the effects with them.
But in this case, EHT is not for me I guess. If my friends can not see it, then it would not be of much use.

You could create a house with FX, and take a video To show your friends and the people of the internet in general what you've envisioned! There are a lot of house showcases with FX on so you could record and share your own too!

But what you can do with EHT is insane. If I go ahead and animate some of my soul shrivens and call it a day, they will mock me for being lazy and not making use of its capabilities. So maybe (since I am indeed planning a video) I should just leave it vanilla and hope to impress people with what I did without the tool.
