Is there a reason for this set existing? I'm confused.

    I don't understand it. Is there something about it so good that the penalty is needed.

    Players wanted vampirism to have drawbacks so this is another set (besides Vampire Lord) to boost their weaknesses even further.

    Well, I think they wanted to add a drawback because of the extra 72 damage when compared to Julianos' 300 spell damage bonus. But again, NMA outclasses this
