Meridia's Brilliance in ESO and Meridia's Beacon from Skyrim

Meridia's Brilliance and Meridia's Beacon are these two items the same thing? If they are why are they named differently when they seemingly have the same function as eachother? If they arent the same, what is the difference between the two?

To me they seem the same thing, both the names defining light.

Could always say 900 years in the past they called it something different. Then again by that logic we could see things like Azura's Star called something else in different games so I can see why this question is being asked.
