Fastest way to get through those last 2 Antiquities levels?

I must confess right up front that I intensely dislike the antiquities system. I feel like it's a cheap mindless phone game that has been unceremoniously shoved into my MMO and I resent it enormously. That said, naturally I want the items that can be obtained through it! LOL But because I cannot force myself to do it endlessly I am still only to most of the way through level 8 in both scrying and excavation . And yes I followed guides and spent my first 5+ levels on Arteaum. I have all sorts of lovely gold leads that I can't get to until I've hit level 10 on both scrying and excavation. And yet it feels as if my progress has slowed to an absolute crawl. Is there ANY trick to help speed up these last two effin AWFUL levels? I hate this so much it feels like a job. Any advice (that is useful and doesn't defend this awful and mind numbingly insidious system) will be deeply appreciated. Thank you in advance!

The best way I found for the last levels if you wanna staright grind it is to go to coldharbour and pick up the alchemy mats around town since they have a chance to drop a gold lead(wich you can scry at lvl 8) and the drop chance is pretty good.... Only problem is you are going to end up with a lot of void crystal anomaly furnishings

To get my Antiquarian from 8 to 10:
    1. I used two other characters to do all the green "treasure" leads in every zone.
    2. After each of them was finished I then did all the resulting blue treasure leads on my Antiquarian.
    3. Going through all those zones also provided a few Purple leads from chests/mobs/harvesting.

That was just enough. I don't know if it's the quickest way, but it worked for me. It wasn't at all boring since I was harvesting, and taking on targets of opportunity like active dolmens and dragons.

A side benefit was seeing all the lore snippets for all the "treasure" leads.

I got to level 7 through the grind, then just did all the green/blue/purple free leads you get in each zone. I also hit some of the spots that drop leads and picked up items for mythics or furnishings during this time as well which are usually purple/gold in level and help a lot.

Another reason to do the green/blue/purple free leads they give you is that you can pick up a 100k value gold coin lead in the antiquarian's building afterwards.

I did all the green starter leads for each zone, which gave me blue leads each time and purple leads once (sometimes).. that'll get you a level.

There are leads that don't require grinding, like buying maps, some mythic leads, and other random ones that are part of bigger items.

The ruins in Alikr has one, blue I think.

I got to max by just hunting the mythic items leads once I was high enough to scry them. I didnt do any grinding from memory. The gold leads required to collect the items was enough.

For the last two levels, I would just go through each zone and do the repeatable green and blue quest. Going to a different zone kept it from getting too boring and I would just pick up mats and chests and what not along the way which would sometimes net me a purple or gold lead to do.

Oh.. and the only purchaseable leads are the Antique Maps and you buy them from the regular Merchant in each major City in each zone.

Far too many characters to list any more.

The only leads I know of that you can buy are the ones for antique maps. They cost 1000 gold, and are only available if you have the "Pathfinder" achievement for that zone. And they're just green, so they're not a big help in leveling.

Really? I've gotten very few leads with that requirement -- the beautiful stained-glass window, the 100K coin, and maybe one or two others.

I'm pretty sure that all the combat gear and mount leads are gold-7 or below.

Also, it technically isn't the case that you need to have high Excavation to dig anything up. It just happens to be the case, however, that your Excavation and Scrying experience gains are very close to each other. I think they were within 20 points of each other all the way, first with Scrying ahead and then with Excavation in the lead.

I got from 7 to 10 by farming Mythic item pieces. Each Mythic is 50 points in Scrying & Excavating, and I wanted them anyway. All Mythic items just require the Scrying rank 7 passive

And another (maybe) useless knowledge: You can scry with another character, and excavate with the toon you want to level and THIS toon gets ALL xp in scry&excavation.
And you DONT need to be level X to dig. something. Just scry has level limitation.
That way you can for example level lot faster your alt antiquities (for whatever reason you want to level alts in antiquities).

Of course the digging will be bit harder with lower dig-skills.

No idea why you would do scrying on other characters... especially if the whole point is to find a quicker way to give experience to your main antiquarian....

I found that going into every zone and doing the green, blue and one-off purple lead took me from 7 to 10 without feeling like I was really trying. Note this can only be done on one character as the purple treasure leads appear to be one-off per account, which is just amazingly stupid.

And I agree that tying in levelling scrying with Mages guild or dolmen levelling helps pass the time... all in all relatively easy to do in a single session.

There are a couple more. Almalexia's dais, out of the top of my head.
